Just wanted to introduce myself. I'm the MiddleSister and I have been obese of over 25 years. After marriage my weight started coming on. I'm 305 and when I got married I was a skinny 120 lbs! I love food! Not just sweets FOOD! I used to spend the night with my grandmother and I'd watch her eat her food, not the volume, but the fattening foods she would eat....so I ate the same things and it was good stuff.
I have three brothers and four sisters...the last two born were twins a sister and brother which made me NOT the MiddleSister, but the twins came 20 years after I was born, so I still claim being the MiddleSister. Actually, I was the MiddleChild and the MiddleSister, before the twins were born...so that make me the Double the Middle, Middle Child and MiddleSister.
I have one daughter who had barriactric surgery and she is extremely good looking, she looks like me when I was her age.
I also have three grandchildren.
I want to get down to 150 lbs. I have a nice basement with a treadmill and recumbent bike but I don't use them. I even have weights and a yoga mat.

Welcome to the boards, MiddleSister! Like most of the people here it sounds like you have a history with food....that's ok, you're here now to make some changes, and you can do it! Have you considered following any particular plan? As I'm sure you've seen, there is info here on just about every plan out there. If you haven't thought that far ahead yet, take a look around and see how the different plans work, and be sure to ask questions!

Once you figure out your plan of attack, find the forum that fits that plan and you'll get lots of awesome info. There are also forums for the 100lb club for those of us who want or need to lose more than 100 pounds, and also the 300 club.

Jump in and make yourself at home, and again, welcome!

Thanks Kelly for the info, being new to anything is a challenge for me. I'm going to take a look around and get familiar with 3fatchicks. So far I like what I see.
