Newbie

Hello..
I have been searching for an online place like this for a year. I desparately need to loose 61 pounds for health reasons.

I tried to Atkins diet for the entire month of January. Must have done something wrong it didn't work. I gained weight.

I need as much support as I can get. I am 5' even and weigh 172 pounds. I would love to hear from someone soon. Thank you.

:welcome: to 3FatChicks.

There is an Atkins message Board here - check out Low Carb Diets. Or, if you want to change plans, snoop around and just join right in.

Victory,

Nice to meet you!

I'm in the same boat as you are. I am 166 lbs, and only 5ft 4in tall. I am also Type II diabetic. I have poor vision and my doctor has said that I have to lose around 50 pounds so as to control my diabetes and protect my vision and other organs.

Do you exercise? I walk around the block and go to the gym every other day for about an hour on the treadmill. It's not much but it's a good start. If you want to talk, feel free to pm me.

Thank you for the welcome.

I tried Atkins during January. I think I ate too much of the allowed food.
I gained about 12 pounds. I really noticed it when I was trying on some clothes in a dressing room at Lord and Taylor's. It was so depressing to see how much body looks.

So I have decided to do monitor my caloric intake.

I do execise. But I have to be more consistent.

I am so grateful for the responses.
