Default 1st Crisis/how does this site work/ LOOKin for the bottom line!

Zeftig~pleasingly plump- ok chubby... not at all just plain unhealthy fat, I am surrounded by those who do not want to hurt my feelings, while they are so dear for their pure hearts.. it is very easy for be to believe them and continue to think that everything is ok....

BOTTOM LINE...
IT IS NOT ok, I am not looking for whiny pitty parties... looking for simple facts and support from REAL people.

BUT FIRST I NEED TO FIGURE OUT THIS SITE>>>>

If I never hear from anyone, I gave it a go, and thanks for all those who tried to help!

"BUT FIRST I NEED TO FIGURE OUT THIS SITE>>>>"

Hello, Stress Eater!
I am no expert on this site, but I can tell you what I did to find my way around.
The first thing I did was start reading the posts. I began with the ones that were under the heading "Exercise" and followed the threads for a while. I learned a lot by reading about what other people were doing, and did a little search for a thread about the kind of exercise I was starting. I found some inspirational stories that motivated me to get up and exercise.
Then I read some posts by people who were succeeding, and what a great boost!
By that time I decided to join, so I enrolled and posted a message like you just did.
There is good advice and you can find help with whatever plan you are trying, or find a plan to try.
What I love about this site is the practical advice....by that I mean you will see over and over that it takes exercise to lose weight.
The home page is always nice to read, with advice on the newest things out there. I loved the current message about WuLong tea. Interesting reading!
I hope this helps a little. I am sure others more experienced will give some advice also.

After a few days on 3FCs, you'll know you're way around and will start recognizing lots of posters. The people on here are great: really smart and very nice. We look forward to you joining us to reach our goals!

Default Finding your way around

Stress eater -- this is probably a backwards way of looking around, but for now I click on "search" and then advanced search, enter my user name in the box on the right and do a search. It brings up every site I've written on, so I can get back to everyone I like!!

Stress Eater, glad you decided to give the site a try. People here are genuine and helpful! You may want to start by finding the forums that are based on the plan that you intend to follow. Those people will have the most insight as to snags that you will undoubtedly incur! When it does happen, don't think of it as failure because it isn't....it's the steps necessary to learn a new lifestyle.

Whining and pitty parties? Most of the time, no. But occassionally we ALL get down, bummed out, and whiny. When that happens, we come here too because there are so many great people willing to pull you back up and get you back on track!

Good luck to you!
