Thumbs down hoodia/diet tea. beware

Hi, fellow chubsters:

I'm new here, but wanted to say that although Hoodia was going to be used by a major Pharmaceutical company as an ingredient in a weight loss pill, the project was scrapped after much more investigation. It doesn't work. All of the on-line people, together, claim TO have more Hoodia than is available in the world!

I have also read that diet tea is dangerous, period. Quite a few deaths. Has been on the don't use list for a few years.

So anyhow - where do I go? I'm trying to work up steam to start a diet. You would think that having a bone-on-bone knee which needs replacing, and 2 ruptured discs in my back would make it clear enough that I need to get my eating in check. What's the best forum for me? No outside meetings, please!

THanks![

All diet pills, herbs and magic portions can be dangerous if not deadly. They are a total waste of money. If they really worked for the long haul do you not think they would be headline news everywhere? The only way for permanent weight loss is permanent lifestyle changes including exercise (there are chair aerobics tapes for those who have bum legs). Sad isn't it - I'd rather take a pill but I drag myself to Curves instead.

Is "diet tea" the same as "green tea extract?" I'm sure both are just as innefficient for weight loss, but I'm just asking for clarification. lol
