Default Into week 4

So far so good.
Week 3 weigh in -7.1 pounds total.
I had lost 20 pounds before so started and was not budging before this, so I am super happy.

I'm baaaack! The holidays were brutal and I packed on some weight (about 6-8lb, and I had already phased off 7lb above goal). My clothes that fit so well are starting to feel tight so thought I would "reboot" this month strict Phase 1 for February. I'm hitting it back to Phase 1 tomorrow (2/1/2020) with a few extra packets since I'm still working out (but plan on cutting back) and really love how I feel after exercising (I know it's not for weight loss, as I was working out this whole time but the holiday EATING and DRINKING got out of control).
I figured February is the shortest month of the year! We are hosting a Superbowl party on Sunday, but I have my mindset pretty solid. I'm not going to a clinic, as I still have a TON of packets that one of my friends keeps giving me! And I cleaned out my IP clinic of their Raspberry Chocolate Bars before I left (they had ~10 boxes expiring and I got them 1/2 off). I figured I could do my own WI at home and report here for my accountability!
I saw that there was a recent commenter on the threads, looked like she was looking to push her recipe page, but they aren't IP compliant - I tried to make not of those recipes not compliant so that any IP newbies who might see it wouldn't be confused.

So I just read that IP has changed up their Phases 1, 2 & 3. Phase 1 ha some small changes including clear guidelines on 'extras" and some new additions to the vegetables, including rapini and spaghetti squash.
Phase 2 now called "Stabilization" lasts for x8 weeks (depending on your weight loss). We will guide you with menu planning and customize proteins, fats and carbs that will optimize weight maintenance. Phase 3 now called "Maintenance" is 12 months of supporting you to keep your weight off. Phase 1 is pretty much the same, I found a sheet for that. I cannot find sheets for the new Phase 2 & Phase 3. Anybody else know of these, or where we can get a copy? Thanks!!

I am planning to start this weekend. I did IP, using alternative products, about 3 years ago. I lost weight pretty easily, but have slowly been regaining. Where did you find the new phase 1 info? I am excited to hear about the addition of spaghetti squash!

I am 39, 5'2",180 lb, with a goal weight of 145 lb.

Ideal Weight Loss Clinic - although I see that they have now blocked out the top section of it. Was the same anyway . . .

hey everyone! I first logged onto this site in 2010, and in 6 mths without purchasing IP product, but following the chart and using the 'allowed proteins' on the list, lost 60 lbs!! I was never happier........ I kept that off for over 2 years.......... then you get lazy ( speaking for myself ONLY) and all but 5 lbs came back on............ slowly but surely
Now 10 yrs later, even though I am heavier, I have gained the strength and ditched my partner of 22 yrs and thus freeing myself from an emotionally abusive relationship. Yay me hahahha, that was summer 2018.

Now, with an AMAZING tender, patient and SANE man in my life who has helped me heal and find myself again, I am ready to tackle this last hurdle.

I initially tried keto starting on Jan 13 and dropped 6.5 in a month, BUT I have a problem trying to accept the HIGH fat way of eating......... so really? The only change I need to make now, is dropping dairy as I am already into ketosis.

I'm excited to be back on this forum, and make use of all the information that is here.

question: remind me, is there calorie counting? or only watch for 20 carbs and under ?

have a wonderful day everyone

I see there was some activity and now silent again. I started my own version of IPA 3 days ago. I love the healthy keto plan designed by Dr Eric Berg but I havenít been able to stick to it to achieve similar fat loss as I had with Ideal Protein in 2014/2015. Itís good for maintenance but the keto friendly foods and recipes are so delicious that I overconsume them and wind up knocked of ketosis because too many keto foods adds up to too many carbs especially when eating too much dairy and nuts.
But, I have learned a lot about healthy keto, and I am applying that learning to my plan for which it is Day 4. I had knee surgery yesterday and I want to help myself get the best result by reducing fat - I think about 30 pounds is good for me.
The key thing that Iím applying is cleaner ingredients than I had paid attention to before so Iíve been very selective in the products Iíve chosen, much more so than the IPA approach thatís now integrated with Nashua Nutrition- all those products that are IPA designated Iíve had but most now donít fit what Iím doing as the ingredients suck.
So, what I have done is get the Quest Ready made shakes, Garden of Life shakes and Iím incorporating the vegetables as well as ensuring I include eggs because of the fat to blunt insulin reaction to lean protein. Iím also taking Dr Bergís supplements.
The shakes are 11 oz each and 30 g of protein so I am doing 3 drinks a day but only 1 8 oz drink and 2 7 oz drinks to get about 18 g of protein which is what IP was approximately per packet.
Iíve posted a lot of recipes here that I conjured up and that reminded me doing those for dinner as well as just keeping it simple with kale and spring mix salads with chicken and hard boiled eggs with 2 tsp olive oil, 1 tsp apple cider vinegar and 1 tsp arctic cod liver oil.
Feeling really good about this structure. I will also be measuring my blood glucose and ketones to check the reaction of higher protein.
Lastly, Iím continuing to apply intermittent fasting- my preference is a 4-6 hour window as I donít want to consume massive protein quantities at once but also donít want them spread too far apart which will keep triggering an insulin response. Iíll see how my blood responds for eating window and make adjustments if necessary.
Iím looking forward to more activity but it may continue to be silent. I unjoined the IPA Facebook group because I found it way too uptight. Hoping those that have been here come back and make this more active as this is my chosen forum.

Hi all, I am so sorry if this has been posted elsewhere but I can't find it. Would anyone be willing to share the current Phase 2 and 3 protocol sheets with me?

Default I am back

I was so successful in 2010 losing 30 pounds. I got lazy and gained it all back plus an additional 10 pounds. I need motivation. This thread was so active in 2010 and it kept me motivated. Day 1 of my journey.
