Hi brownshade, Your plan looks very IP to me with a couple of possible tweaks-

-I don't see restricted items
-Do all the daily menu plans include 2 tsps of oil?

Last but not least, I think your calories are on the low side, even for IP. In the last few years, they revised some of their products to have higher calories-especially restricteds. They seem to aim for a higher calorie range. I can lose well following alternative IP if I aim for 1000 cal/day and like that I have a little more energy. Just my 2 cents but I would add a restricted and more veggies, i.e. 4 cups of veggies in addition to the unlimited ones.

Best of luck to you!

Thank you so much for your reply Sundove

I do add the olive oil either while cooking or on my salad so maybe that will bump my numbers up a tiny bit.
I might also switch a restricted for my snack instead of the unrestricted to help with my cals. I did find them a little low but wasn't sure how to adjust without compromising my carb and fat intake.
I can totally add more veggies to my egg whites in the morning and make a good filling omelet!

Thanks again, and best of luck to us all!

To follow IP there is no need to track or purposely adjust anything.

Eat 3 packets (1 can be restricted), 4 cups approved veggies measured raw (lettuce never counts), 8 oz approved meat weighed raw, oil, salt, water. That is ALL the counting, tracking needed. If you are following that, your calories, fats, carbs and protein are all in "ideal" range!

Egg whites are not free and not needed unless reducing meat amount that day. Subtract 1 oz from meat per egg white.

No, that meal plan is not ok. 800 calories per day isn't enough.

I also suggest cutting down on the processed foods and eating more whole foods instead.

The Ideal Protein program is designed at 650-950 calories and is centered around using 3 highly absorbably packaged protein foods, 4 cups veggies and 8 oz lean meat. Her plan IS the program.

Her question was "Is this meal plan ok?", not "Is this meal plan Ideal Protein?" If Ideal Protein is 650-950 calories per day, then I don't think Ideal Protein is ok.

This group is for those following the Ideal Protein eating plan. She clearly was checking on her Ideal Protein meals. It is a Protein Sparing Modified Fast using highly absorbable protein of which every single calorie is absorbed and used to nourish the body. That coupled with the calories gained by the body using stored fat as fuel makes the low caloric range of the food perfectly fine and highly successful.
