Egg whites..are they free?

  • Hi I just started IP yesterday and have been going through a lot of posts on here to try and prepare mySelf. And there were posts back from
    2013 saying egg whites were free. I wanted to know if anyone has heard anything on this as my coach only mentioned having them wit a whole egg so I'm not sure how it works.
  • I am an "old timer" when it comes to IP. I am currently rebooting with alternatives and it has been 5 years since I have been to a clinic and worked with a coach. Back in 2011-2012, my coach said that I could have (2) egg whites per day that were considered free. I do not know if this has changed over the years, but I can tell you that I followed that when I did IP the first time, and I still follow it any time I need to do a P1 day and as far as I can tell, it hasn't hindered my weight loss.
  • I haven't talked to my coach about it yet, but I don't feel like she is gives the greatest advice so I've been asking around about it. I've been having 2 egg whites with some spinach for breakfast the last 2 mornings and I feel like it's been keeping me full. Thanks for responding and giving your experience
  • I believe the official IP protocol is even egg whites have to be counted towards protein - that said, I always used it as an extra (like walden farm products)...& lost 90 Jan 2015 - Dec 2015
