  • Hi. I am starting this program on Monday, March 28. I went for the intro session on Wednesday night, and picked up my food and did all my measurements this morning. Would love to find others that are starting on the same day or close to it to help keep me motivated and on track! I have 30 pounds that I need to lose. Sounds overwhelming but doable.

    Thanks.
  • Wishing you a great start!
  • Hi there, I'll be going for my initial weigh in and getting my foods on that Monday, so I'll be right there with you! I want to lose about 150-ish lbs, so I've got a long road ahead! Looking forward to it though!
  • I'm curious to know what you think of it...I've wanted to try it, but it's quite pricey for our budget. I did order some of their oatmeal and it was delicious!! I'm rewarding myself with a "treat" after each 10 pounds I lose. My first "treat" was an eyebrow wax at an upscale salon rather than my normal hole in the wall I go to. My next 10 pound "treat" will be another box of IP oatmeal!
    Good luck!
  • Thanks, Sassy! I'll keep you posted once I get my foods and get started next week! I like the idea of treating yourself when you hit certain milestones! I'll have to do that!
  • Sassy, protidiet has the oatmeal for half the price. I order mine from Nashua Nutrition.
  • Slipfree...thank you so much!! I ordered off eBay last time, but it wasn't 1/2 price! So half price means I can order 2 boxes, right?
  • Second Week with Ideal Protein
I'm midway through my second week so and I'm eager to meet someone on the same journey as me. I lost 8.5 lbs my first week, but seem to be slowing down this week. I make several trips a week to the grocery for veggies, but still need more. I am roasting a lot of my veggies with Dis an' Dat seasoning. Could be a New Orleans thing, but adds a lot of zing to help with the impossible amounts of asparagus i have been eating!
  • Almost everyone has a huge loss the first week (5+ pounds is typical), and then it slows down to a 2-3 pounds a week average (for women). Some weeks you might lose more, some less. As long as you see a downward trend over a month's time, it's good.
  • Just wanted to pop in to give support! I have been (mostly) OP since January of 2015 and you can see by looking at my stats this DOES work! Best of luck on your journey!!
  • I am starting today. I did Ideal Protein once before and had success, but I didn't follow through to all phases and have put it all back on over the last 2 years. I am excited about seeing some success in the next few weeks, though I have heard that the weight loss is slower your second time around.
  • Surviving...Day 2
Thanks everyone. On day 2. All the pills with such little food seem to be making me a bit nauseous. Nothing too bad, but definitely annoying. The foods are not my favorite either. I have had the vanilla pudding, the herb omelette, the veggie chili, the vanilla shake, and the chicken noodle. So far I would probably skip all of them. But I guess this is what i have to go through to lose! No major headaches yet so that is a relief. I heard week one is the hardest!
  • I am starting tomorrow too. This is my first time on the diet. I hope all goes well. Good luck to everyone else who just started

On day two for me as well. Not so bad today - no headaches for me either, which I was concerned about. Not loving the food, but I just searched a bunch of recipes on Pinterest and facebook.

Had the BBQ Chips which aren't that bad. The Mango drink is a nice switch from Vanialla/Chocolate Protein Shakes,
  • Once you get more into it your taste buds change and you actually enjoy the food. Keep going! It's the starting part that's the hardest!
