Hi Darbs!

Just going to toss in my 0.02 - I lost 90 pounds 1/30/15 - 10/28/15. I walked 2 - 3 miles a day for 75% of that stretch.
DH is a runner and signed up for a 10K Turkey Trot - at the last second, I signed up for the 5K - did 3 or 4 pre-jogs ;) and ending up placing 3rd in my age group!
I could NEVER had done this if I hadn't lost the weight.
We decided to do a 13.1 here in Washington DC 3/12/16
I started training late December and am using an app by ZenLabs (13.1) - it is 13 weeks, run/walk and I'm now running 20+ miles a week and am ready for a 1/2

Best of luck!

AWESOME....great accomplishment...I will use that as motivation. Thanks

Hi darbs. How are you doing? Do you know what contributed to your weigh regain? How did you get through your first day OP? Are you doing phase 1?

I am also back!! I lost almost 60 pounds the first time on IP in 2014 I have put on 30ish pounds and ready to get it off. I started back at IP last week I'm really struggling with my veggies already. I'm only on day four :( I just need to stay focused and check in here you are my motivation!!!!!!

Great beegee - and you're mine! The tough hours for me are just beginning.

Almost two weeks now and the weight sure doesn't come off as fast as the first time ...............well for me anyway. A loss is a loss and I will take what I can get! I'm still trying to figure out this ticker thingy maybe my 15 year old can do it for me. No cheats yet and I hope to keep it that way! Good luck staying OP this week everyone!!!

I think the reboot is just plain tougher mentally. My first go at the diet seemed like a breeze compared to this. The loses are tougher and each day seems like an eternity as my tummy grumbles, but we just have to claw our way back out from under the re-gain. :sumo:

hi everyone, well! I'm back AGAIN. the board has slowed down a lot since I first start IP. But glad it hasn't disappeared altogether. Need to have this board inspiration to do this reboot. As everyone says, it's not as easy as the first time but we must make it doable. We know this program works and it works fast. I am also doing the same as others, since I know the drill I'm not going to be so strict this time and learn to make this a part of my life instead of treating is as just diet. I am 66 and don't want to go thru this again. More important things to do in my life rather than have the stress of weight. Also I'm strongly aware of how weight leads to health issues. The body was designed to work free of stress and fat. I want the best body possible for the best health possible. As I age I am more aware of what is important: food or healthy body? This is a no brainer but addiction is addition!!!! Keeping this in mind one day at a time. Best of health to all of us!!!!!!
