Ideal Protein: what are the carb/protein/fat/calorie goal numbers supposed to be?

  • I'm tracking my eating with ideal protein over at spark people.
    There is a place to put in what our goal numbers should be.
    However, I don't KNOW what they SHOULD BE?!

    The default goals are set to:
    Consume between 1200 & 1550 calories per day
    Consume between 27 & 60 grams of fat per day. info
    Consume between 25 & 35 grams of carbohydrates per day.
    Consume between 60 & 136 grams of protein per day.
    Consume between 0 & 300 mg of cholesterol per day
    Consume between 0 & 2400 mg of sodium per day
    Consume between 2000 & 3500 mg of potassium per day
    Consume between 100 & 110 %RDA of Vitamin A per day
    Consume between 100 & 500 %RDA of Vitamin C per day
    Consume %RDA of Vitamin D per day between 100 & 150
    Consume %RDA of Calcium per day between 100 & 150
    Consume %RDA of Iron per day between 100 & 150
    Consume g of fiber per day between 25 & 35
    Consume at least 8 cups of water per day.


    Which of these are right and need to be changed to reflect my ideal protein journey?
  • I believe that on the IP protocol:

    Daily calories will be somewhere between 750-900 kcal.
    Carbs: under 40 g.
    Protein: I think this is calculated goal weight x .6

    In P1, you should be eating 50% of your calories from protein, 30% from fat, and 20% from carbs.
