Not saying that's a solution, but maybe doing phase 2 for a few days?? Is your salt and oil intake where it should be? |

amyniagara, mamacitaof2 Thanks for suggestions. I tried adding more packets thinking I was not getting enough, that did not work and I really don't want to P2 or P3 yet. I have 7 more days on P1 and will phase off for at least a week or two. Heading out of town for a holiday. That might take care of the stall. But, in my perfect world I was done on my reboot...maybe not. Recently I have been sleeping better, not so much at the beginning of P1. Have not even checked measurements. Will do that. |
Hello my fellow IPers...UGH. I lost 70 pounds and swore I wouldn't put it back on...well oops...I did! SO, I'm back. I figure this site helped me the first time and I know I'll get the same support as before! xxxooo I know you're a bunch a great (mostly) woman and am going to do this!!!

Maybe this has been addressed before but what's the difference between the IP groups--"rebooters" and "back, again"? I am ready to restart after a very successful rode to maintenance but have gained 2/3 of my weight back in 1year. My IP couch was wonderful but I'd like to stay away from packaged food. Thanks🌻🌻

Day 11 of being same weight...super ugh and I have been everything right to lose. Day 56 of my 60 day reboot so I won't be at my goal. Be off about 5 lbs.
I just have to be vigilant to maintain at my current weight, which is my high number. Rather than give up, I will take a break and return to see if I can get to my ideal weight. I know it is very hard for me to get back to plan, I tried several times. Pro's: I feel good emotionally and physically, I look good, my clothes fit, I can move better, my BP is great, I do not cringe when I see myself in pictures, and I stayed committed to the plan and me for my reboot. |

I agree though...it gets frustrating! |
Lopeski - the threads are very organic things that move and change based on people's desire and time. There are times when some threads will be quite active, if the people posting there are active.
Even on the busier threads, sometimes statistically is just turns out the a lot of the regular posters are on vacation/work things etc. In general, the most active threads are the Newcomers thread, and the 2014 and 2015 starters. Anyone at all, including rebooters, are welcome on any thread that you get support from. I would suggest just posting where you feel pulled to, and if you want daily or weekly support see where you feel most comfortable. Many people only check their regular thread, and not the smaller ones like this one, so you may not get as many responses on the less active threads. Workingit50 congrats - Maintenance is a challenging place to stay. |
Restarting is the best and worst all in one
Great choice to restart!
I originally did IP July 2011-December 2011 lost 55lbs. Kept it off for 3 years but this was a bit of a rough year and I allowed myself to fall completly off. Up 30lbs from original loss and 40lbs from my lowest. Started back 9/12-- half heartedly because I knew I was going away the following weekend. But went full on this week and I'm down 6lbs. I've lost more in a restart first week but I'm satisfied because I know IP works. I don't think I have enough discipline to do it without the weekly weigh-in so ...more power too you!! Happy losing! :-) Quote:

Hey everyone! I have done IP a while ago and had success with it. After a year of battling heath issues, I am ready to get back to my "normal" self. The last time i did IP I hit my goal in 5 weeks with little struggle but after the year ive had I know I am going to need support, motivation and a few kicks to the behind, but i am ready. I am at my biggest I have ever been (weigh a few pounds heavier than I did 9 months pregnant which is discouraging) and i am ready to get back to my regular size/weight. I have a goal of 45 pounds to lose.
I stuggle with emotional eating as well as stress eating. My husband is gone quite often and the late nights with no one around watching has become my worst enemy. I am hoping to come on here daily and get motivation and help whenever i am tempted so keep an eye out for me :) i love this site and was so happy to have found it a few years back. You are all so helpful, inspiring, non judgemental, and supportive. Wish me luck! |
Welcome back, claustin! We got your back. :)

Welcome to all the new back agains.....we are all doing the same thing and the connection and supports makes the journey bearable.
I phased off since I was going to Mexico. While on vacation, I ate and drank for four days returning to a 4 lbs gain. But, a couple of good P1 days, I lost it all. I am modifying my food because I am tired of my meal choices right now. I am staying to low carb, no sugar. Using Myfitness pal to track food and keeping it around the 950 calories. We got this........ |
I restarted early September. When I regained 40 pounds it was gradual over a period of 3 years. Each month, even though I was eating healthy and exercising an hour four times a week, my body stored.
Now that I am doing my own IP, I am gradually losing, almost at the same pace (about a pound a month...I am 54). I believe that my DNA is geared towards storage and that it takes me about twice as much effort as the average bear to lose weight, much less maintain loss. I weigh myself each morning and if I have not gained I gauge that as an incredible accomplishment. I have been following the thread about food addiction and this has been a big help. Just as alcoholics need to stay away from booze, I need to stay away from carbs. I am committed to stay under 50 carbs a day for the rest of my life. My metabolism and food addiction issues are much better when I stay committed to a lifestyle that is trigger free. My life rule now is "if it sounds good, don't eat it). I am replacing food with other things I love and use food for fuel. It is dull to be off the emotional roller coaster but I am no longer gaining and I feel less frenzied. |
Well yesterday around 430...i cheated...i had choc. Almonds....i also started TOM which i was not expecting. Hard afternoon for me. But i am owning up to it and moving on. Today i pray will be easier.
