One~ good luck at the consignment shop. I have not been able to find one around me. I donate all my old stuff and I am a huge coupon shopper so what I buy is always on sale.....I will however have to splurge on a new winter coat this season....That will be an expencive big ticket item..

Still have my feet firmly planted in Onederland.....And I love my Aria scale showing me that every morning..LOL I never was an everyday weigher, but see that 1 in front still has me excited every morning :carrot::carrot:

Doing a family get to gether for DS's birthday tomorrow ... his actual birthday is Tuesday but he wanted to do his party early in case he didn't pass his drivers test tuesday so he is not embarassed... Poor thing is so worked up over it. He is a really good driver, but he is nervous about the parallel parking...

I know what you mean about winter gear purchases! I had to buy a new winter coat and snowmobile suit. The coat I got was actually on sale and under $100, but my snow suit was close to $500 (with discounts). Way more than I like to spend on anything, I grew up not allowed to spend much on clothes even when it was my own money. But around here you need to invest in proper snowmobile gear.

I was hoping you'd still be in onderland, I'd say the 200's are gone for good!! :)

I remember my road test for my license. I was also a good driver, but I was so nervous that my mouth got so dry I couldn't swallow, then I starting coughing uncontrollably and couldn't catch my breath!! Thankfully the coughing didn't happen until I'd finished and parked. Oh, and I passed. Hopefully your son handles it better than me :) I've got my fingers crossed for him.

Happy early birthday to him and enjoy your weekend.

One, congrats on another good loss!

I am very excited this morning, it's a lovely 6 degrees and it's only 9am!!! Spring is here! The snow is almost all gone from the yard, and we will start to get green grass and buds on the trees soon!! Yay to good weather on a long weekend!

I hope everyone has a great OP day!

Good morning, all. I was wondering if it is possible to have too much protein? There are some days that I feel extra hungry and the veggies just aren't doing it. Instead of having something bad, I try to do a can of tuna. It's about an extra 70 calories, not really any carbs, but a nice filler until my next meal. However, according to MyFitnessPal, I'm way over on my protein levels for the day. Thanks!

Yay for Onderland. Congrats!!

I'm sure your son will do fine. I remember when I took my test, parallel parking was the worst. I spent at least 5 minutes backing up, going forward, backing up. I finally stopped and the trooper looked at me all exasperated and asked if I was done. He then got out and checked to see how I did and said "There's enough room for a Volkswagen between you and the curb." I said I would try again, and he was like "Absolutely not!" I passed. And now, I parallel park like a boss.

Congrats SG - sticking in Onederland
I bounced a couple days between 198 and 202 - that was a little annoying :dizzy:lol
Good luck to you son on the driving test. DD18 is gearing up for hers this summer - we had some anxiety issues to work through but she's much more confident and ready now than at 16 / 17

Last meal at home / in my comfort zone / in a controlled environment until Sunday afternoon. Plenty of protocol foods packed, feel like I am in control but am a little worried about real food choices tomorrow at the festival- hubby says he doesn't remember a burger truck...BBQ & pizza & tacos, yes. There are a lot of vegetarians and vegans coming who are also concerned and said they asked for better choices...we'll see. A scoop of pork BBQ probably won't hurt me with the amount of exercise I'll be getting
Starting to feel a little OCD about food recently- maybe that's a good thing though :)

MFP isn't calibrated for a plan such as ours so I wouldn't worry too much about that.

Your question is more complicated than it looks, however. Are you exercising? There is a need for extra food that corresponds with that.

Many people are put on an extra packet if they're over 200 lbs (but not everyone so it seems to vary by clinic).

We all have those extra hungry days & have various strategies for coping with it. I make cauliflower pancakes with egg whites or sometimes I'll use one of the collagen packets as a supplemental one that day (raspberry gelatin or blueberry cran-granata).

I know one of the biggest things I had to learn was the difference between "hunger" and "wanting to eat". They can feel very similar, however hunger is a physical feeling with no desire for a specific taste attached. Most days the unlimited items can fill the hunger void. Cravings are best allowed to go unfulfilled. We strengthen our resistance muscle when we resist!

GOOD POINTS, LISA, as usual!!!
I have been trying to focus on the difference between wanting to eat and actually being hungry. It's a very good 'pause and consider' tactic to help me navigate my daily interactions with food!!!

Thank you for your insight! I'm going to have to figure out hunger vs wanting to eat. It is definitely a learning process.

And will be essential to avoid weight re-gain after moving to maintenance.
After a lifetime of eating what I wanted, when I wanted, learning to curtail it is an ongoing struggle. But I'm not giving up! I want to remain in remission from morbid obesity.

Don't know if this is considered 100% P1 compliant, but for me it really works and thought I would offer:

When doing P1, for 1 of my tsp. of oil, I use coconut oil. I split my milk into two drinks - morning coffee and afternoon tea (Bengal Spice is my preferred tea). I add 1/2 tsp coconut oil to each, cinnamon, and a little vanilla extract.

These drinks are very satisfying for me, and will curb that 2 hour "hungry" thing that sometimes happens but I don't want to have a snack.

I still do it on P4 and it's nice, and something pleasurable.

I also generally squeeze a little lemon and ideal salt into water (now on P4 I use Himalayan pink salt) and that helps me get my water in. On P1 I limited the lemon but on P4 I don't worry about it, I use about 1/2 lemon a day.
