I've been reading low carb information since 2002. Somewhere in the plethora of blogs, books, podcasts and research that I've read I learned somewhere that whey protein can give some people a sugar spike and people who have that problem do better with casein protein. It is slower acting. You might want to do some reading and see what you can find out.
Ahhh...this is interesting...I will definitely have a look. My coach said something about faster absorbing proteins today but I didn't think to ask her to expand on the idea. She said IP Uses a slower absorb protein...I need to look and see what I am eating on IP...Thanks! 😊

Congrats everyone on your losses.

First Week's weigh in...loss of 5.8#...yeah!!! Unfortunately had a couple of cheats so pretty pleased with 5.8. This week, planning to stay strictly on plan. Will be challenging the end of the week because I will be traveling.

JJTx - I'm also trying to at minimum lose 25# by mid-April for my niece's wedding :-) Here's to both of us reaching our goals!!

Just look at the ingredients on each packet (box). If it says whey it is a faster protein, casein is a slower one.

Just popping in to keep myself accountable.... having trouble fitting in my vitamins this past couple weeks... no calcium at all during this time and only about 3/4 of the other stuff I usually take. I think that just every once in a while I get sick of taking pills. This morning I gagged majorly on them and usually I can get them down without too much trouble. Just YUK! I hate the taste of the B's in the multi - that's the worst for me, that & the honkin' cal-mags which always stick half way down.

Tomorrow starts a stricter vitamin regime
