Constipation, IE "the big C"

Many people experience constipation on IP. I searched and did not see a dedicated thread for it, or a sticky for it. If this is a duplicate, I'm sorry.

There are many things to try for constipation:

Eat all your greens and veggies, and then add some free veggies.

Drink all your water and then add some more.

Drink Smooth Move Tea.

Miralax.

1000MG Vitamin C

Probiotics daily

Benefiber.

Extra Magnesium 500 to 1000 mg.

Patience.

Thank you for those suggestions I suffer from constipation every time I'm on a diet.

I had the big C really bad till I found this combo.

Every night smooth move tea double bags and steep for 20 minutes! With that I eat 2 pieces of the chocolate raspberry bar.....works like a charm!

Try magnesium (natura calm), vitamin c, probiotics, water, all supplements & extra greens prior to laxatives (including smooth move tea)

The body can become dependent on laxatives. Use as a last resort.

One more thing: some people on VLC diets think they're constpated when they aren't "going" as frequently. If we're burning everything we're consuming, there will be less waste. Only be concerned about constipation if you're uncomfortable.

Murrcat, there's a good thread on constipation with IP here that hopefully will help :)
