IP & Infrared Saunas

I'm curious if any of you have combined your IP journey with infrared sauna use? I've noticed that numerous IP clinics also offer infrared sessions at the as well (either as part of an IP package or for an additional fee). If you've used an infrared sauna during your IP journey, I'm curious how you've felt it's impacted you? (How often have you gone, how did it effect your weekly weigh-ins, how did you feel overall?)

We have an infrared sauna in our master bedroom & I haven't used it since I started IP in August. I know I should probably just "go for it" but I am nervous about doing anything that will disrupt my system.

Thanks :)

I didn't do IR sauna while on IP, but tried it for a while for the supposed health benefits a couple years before IP. I didn't notice anything except feeling warmer, which I can get from a regular sauna. I was disappointed as it wasn't exactly cheap. I can't see how it would affect anything.

Thank Liana. We have had our's for about 3yrs & in the past, I have used it quite regularly..especially in the winter months. My husband uses it almost daily & swears by it for his back issues. I was just surprised to see so many clinics that offered both IP & the saunas.

Perhaps it is part of a 'detox' idea?? The warmth definitely would help an achy back. Glad you have it for a cold winter in Alaska!

I did try the infrared sauna at my clinic and I did really enjoy it, but honestly cannot say that it had any real impact on my weight loss. I used it for about 4 weeks and my losses were no different than the other weeks. Remember everyone is different, and if you already have it you have nothing to lose.

AllMe Thank you for sharing your experience. I was figuring it couldn't hurt :) After googling IP & infrared sauna together, it seems quite a few clinics combine the 2 which I found to be quite interesting. Considering we already have one, I should probably get back at it.
