30 pounds in 50 days ... wow!

Since October 22nd, I've lost 30 pounds in 50 days!! That's an average of 0.6 pounds per day, 4.2 pounds per week, or 18 pounds per month. I am sure this will slow as I lose more weight, but what a great number. I have to admit that the Ideal Protein Diet really works for me -- I don't think I could approach this loss rate with another diet.

That's so awesome! It really does work if you work it! Keep it up and start the New Year weighing less and breaking the cycle of weight loss resolutions! :carrot::carrot::carrot:

You need to post on the daily what are you eating thread so we can all copy your diet. :)

Amazingly consistent rate of loss, Avalon. Hope it keeps going for you. :)

Congratulations Avalon1957

That is amazing! I have a weigh in today and am really hoping I am able to hit a similar target. Today is day 42 for me and I think I can do it!

I completely agree that I don't think I could hit these figures on any other diet!

Congratulations again! :carrot::bravo:

Cheers
Heidi

TaffetaDarling, so true about why wait to New Years. I hope to be down another 10 pounds by then.

Heidi, I am rooting for you on your weight in today!!

Briael, It's basically the regular IP P1 regimen.

You are doing an AMAZING job Avalon!

The only thing I would encourage folks to do is to remember that the higher your starting weight and the more you have to lose, the faster the weight comes off in the beginning. Take a look at Avalon's starting and goal weights to see what I mean. The bigger your body is, the more calories it takes to function, and so there is a much larger difference between the calories consumed on P1 and the needs of the body - this translates to faster losses because of the size of that gap.

I only mention it because it is SO tempting to look at these losses and try and figure out how to match them in our own weight loss journey - without taking into consideration that if our starting weight/total weight loss needed is lower than the OP's, then the pounds are likely not going to come off as fast.

There's no magic formula to creating these kinds of losses, it's pretty much just a result of following P1 :)

THIS IS SPOT ON!!! Yes, exactly right, I am 6'3" tall and started off over 300 pounds. Still I am seeing some similar great results from some of our smaller members. You are all doing great!

You are a great inspiration! I know from before that when you put your mind to something, you DO IT.

I know for me that I lack that absolute dedication to the program that you have and maintain on a daily basis. I struggle with it, I work on it, I slip, I go back but I NEVER GIVE UP.

I will follow you as you continue your journey - you have always made me smile!

You inspire me too! The fact that you keep trying ... that's half the battle. I am rooting for you. Dieting is HARD.
