  • Hi everyone.
Our schools are closed today due to the violence in the Ferguson/St. Louis City/County area.

I live 25 miles from the turmoil but I work in that area.
I am incredibly saddened that small businesses have been destroyed.

Just wanted you to know I'm safe.
  • The whole situation is sad. I'm glad you're ok Lisa, please stay safe!
  • Good Morning All:

I am sorry to see what is going in St. Louis.

Week 3 starts for me. Went for a WI yesterday and lost 3.9 lbs. Overall in two week I lost 10 lbs.

I am quite happy with my progress. My next WI is in Dec. and I want to be at least 8 lbs lighter in next two weeks.
  • Glad to hear your safe Lisa.
  • Stay safe Lisa, the whole situation/circumstances are terribly saddening.
  • Topic change.
Let's hear some SV and NSVs today!
  • I tried on a skirt and top that I haven't been able to wear for a few years, thinking I could wear it to DH's staff Christmas party and they fit nicely So one holiday outfit decided, so many more to go!!

And while it's not official weigh in time, I do my own at home as well as a daily weight check and I am officially in the 160s!! 168.5, which is the smallest my husband has ever known me, so I find that an exciting milestone, even though I was about 15-20lbs heavier than my current weight when we started seeing each other.
  • I have both! I had a whoosh this week, officially down 5 pounds on the clinic scale this morning. Also, I had to grab a belt when I ran home to grab my things for work, and change my top because the one I pulled on was too big.

    Who else?!

Let's hear some SV and NSVs today!
My most recent NSV was going clothes shopping this weekend and finding an absolutely beautiful dress (on clearance!) and then finding the perfect cardigan (also on clearance!) to wear with it this winter. Clothes shopping wasn't this easy, fun, or inexpensive at the beginning of this year.

My upcoming NSV is getting to ski this winter. The last couple of years I haven't been able to fit into any ski pants (a rant for another day!). This year my old pants are actually a little too big for me. We are going out on Friday for the first time this season and I am thrilled! I promised my younger son I will snowboard with him this winter, too, which is something I've never even considered before.

The winter is shaping up to be very exciting for me!
  • Had my first WI yesterday and was down 8.4 lbs! My coach had me try and ketostix and it's official! I'm in ketosis! Just knowing that, it seems like all my cravings are gone! Man, your brain can play funny tricks on you!

Those are both exciting victories! Congratulations!
  • Hi everyone,

Lisa - thanks so much for getting us started.

Good NSV for me - it is Day 2 and I am doing good! Seriously, it has been years since I have even made it through Day 1 on any program! But this is my first time with IP and I am very excited and hopeful!
  • So many great NSV's - congrats to everyone!!!
