Psyllium husk is fine - it is not digestible, which means any "carbs" that might be present don't actually get processed into the bloodstream. I like to think of psyllium as a big scouring pad...all those little particles help loosen stuff up the same way a scouring pad works on your casserole dish

Aria -- I had to look up BCAAs after seeing your post. Do you take a pill supplement? And is this only after cardio exercise? I did a quick search on here, but maybe I'm not looking in the right place. Will try again….

Thanks Liana and Scorbett!! I will be staying away from smooth move for a while! Iam what you call an "herbal tea junkie"
@Mimi47yes. i take the pill ones, but they also available in powder form. I just prefer the convenience. Some folks take it before, during and after exercise. I don't usually take it on cardio days, but with IP i will. I usually took them before my workout on "lift days" before i started IP. I did cardio today and feel good so far it felt nice to run! but i had to make sure i kept my pace slow!!dat was the hard part, but this is an experiment and i don't want to go crazy with it!! baby steps. I also drank Jay Robb vanilla shake instead of the IP. The JR has 25g of protein. (not sure if this is ok.. but instead of adding an extra ip packet i did this.SCRATCH DAT! I just ate my quest bar just to be sure my muscles don't suffer)
I will be lifting (moderate/no crazy weights) tomo. I will just run twice and lift twice this week and see how it affects my fat loss, metabolism and lean body mass%. Wish me luck. If this works I will be one happy lady

PS: still dont' know how to quote more dan 1 person

Thanks!
Stick with it, each weigh in will motivate you more and more.
It is tough, but think of something else tough that you have been through or are going through, you make it each day through that and you can on this program too. : Down 30 and counting since Sept 3rd.

Anyone having a hard time believing it's almost Thanksgiving here in the states? Blows my mind, where has this year gone?

They are forecasting snow here in SE Washington State, I'm kinda excited about the possibility. Crazy thing is we got into the 70's last week....in November!

Hi everybody. Been reading lots of posts today for tips and ideas. I haven't started IP yet. Monday, 11-16 will be my Day 1. Trying to increase my intake of water before officially starting, but not succeeding as well as I had hoped. Ah well. I'll keep 'chuggin' along and it will come.

You will drink a lot of water swallowing your supplements. It takes me a pint for each bunch.

Default 9th WI...

Today was my 9th WI and I'm now down 34.5 lbs. This is so exciting. My coach also gave me a gift card today from her and the owner of the salon where my IP is located. It was to congratulate me on being their most successful client yet. It is for a facial and a 30 minute massage. I was shocked, it brought tears to my eyes. She said I've been working so hard at this program and it's time to have a little reward of relaxation. Wow! This was so totally unexpected. Yesterday I went for my monthly check-up (because of being on IP) at my doctor's office and on his scale I was down 36.5 lbs. My BP was 120/80. And what's more, I haven't had a bout of acid reflux once and my IBS has all but disappeared. I'm knocking on wood right now, just to be safe..lol.

Congrats to all of you with your losses and achievements so far this week. We're all doing a tremendous job on this journey

Andi

Where the Quote button is to the bottom right of each post, to the right of it you will see " mark. For each post that you want to quote click the " and when you get to the end of the thread, hit Quote against one of them. It will put them all into the new post window at the bottom. Simply click under the /quote to add your comments to each individual one.

Hey all -

Anyone in the Bethesda area that could recommend a coach? A friend is interested in starting IP and could use a good coach.

Weigh in tomorrow. It will have been 2 weeks, but I'm not optimistic. A couple extra quest bars and not enough water was the story of the past 10 days. I'm ready to have a better week! Getting so close to goal...
