I just bought Walden Foods Cranberry sauce for thanksgiving . Has anybody tried it ? Opinions ! please !

I don't love it by itself, but it's pretty good mixed into other things. Might be good for left over turkey salad the next day?

I am interested too. My coach mentioned possibly taking a cheat day that day. Not sure how I feel about that....or if that's the case, maybe I should take a cheat week. My 20yr anniversary, Thanksgiving work luncheon, happy hour with friends and turkey day all fall within 9 days of each other.

Where do you draw the line, KWIM?

I am NOT going to cheat.

OK so here's my game plan for Turkey Day:

Regular IP breakfast.

Turkey day feasting:
Turkey (and maybe a little ham)
Crockpot Cauliflower Fried Rice (posted the recipe in the crockpot thread)
Roasted Radishes (my subsititute for red potatoes!)
Roasted cauliflower

Dessert: Going to try making LizRR's "sweet fauxtato pie" and use a QUEST bar as a crust - I saw a few recipes doing this on the QUEST site and I'm pretty sure I can make it work!

I will very likely go over on my veggies for the day, but I'm not too worried about that - better to over-indulge on veggies than on stuff that would totally derail my progress!

I am going to try the sweet fauxtato pie too. Is that the one made from rutabaga?

yes! I could easily do a pudding packet for my dessert, but why not make an IP approved veggie based one to enjoy? :)

scorbett: For the Roasted Radishes, do you mind sharing the method? temp, length, do you cover with olive oil, salt?

I have been eating a lot of radishes which I never did in my life (and enjoying them on salads) but I have never roasted them....

Thanks!

I cut the radishes in half, toss in EVOO, and then season the same way I would roasted red potato - some onion powder, dried basil or tarragon, maybe garlic powder. Then just roast like any other veggie! They lose some of their peppery flavor in the roasting ,but i like them :)
