A loss is a loss. Even though 0.2 may not seem like much. Its still a loss

Hearthebells -
Most people doing IP find that they loose very little at their 3rd or 4th weigh in. The body let go of a lot of weight your first few weeks and starts to hold on to water to make up for that. As long as you are sticking to the plan, you are loosing fat. Weight loss is rarely linear. There will be weeks like this one where your body holds on. But there will be other weeks with higher losses. It will all balance out in the end. The scales clinics use are no where near as accurate as they would like us to believe so don't focus on the fat vs. water numbers they are giving you. You have lost and average of almost 2.5 pounds in 3 weeks. That's better than most diets and you hopefully are experiencing the benefits of ketosis too. Obviously only you can decide if IP is the diet for you, but I encourage you to give it at least another month and see if you don't have some larger losses to balance out this week. No diet will give you big losses every week without major exercise or feelings of being restricted in some way. Going back on birth control could absolutely have caused this week's lack of loss too. But, that is water weight, not fat. |
