Yeah, Jenny... I did used to run - 10ks mainly but they had to have pretty amazing scenery because I never felt good running, I just had to distract myself through the whole process. I never felt that effortless glide like I do when skiing or cycling... That's probably why I gave it up later in life... not as much fun for me.

Liana, the sriracha turkey breast tenderloin was pre-marinated at Sam's club. I have wanted to try sriracha for awhile, so I thought it was worth a try. The version I have is mild.

Whew, the LARGE chili!!! Yikes, I don't know if it's still like that, but a few years ago the sizes were not the same in the US and Canada Wendy's... I ordered a large drink at a Hawaiian Wendy's to go with my salad and boom, this honkin' tub of pop came to the counter. I thought it was going to be 'Canada size' large, but it was definitely waaaay bigger. Anyhow, these days I get a small chili and sneak in a stalk of celery and 3 or 4 large mushrooms to eat alongside it. It makes a perfect carb meal especially with the 0% greek yogourt Weird... I just checked on both wendys.com & wendys.ca and the US small chili is 170 cal, the Canadian one is 210. Where are the extra 40 calories coming from????
Today's meals (lots of exercise today - deep water running program)
Taye: You can order them online - not cheap but amazing!!! http://saporioilsandvinegars.com/
There are two stores - both within a short drive of me. I go in regularly for tastings. Mwahahaha! You could still spoon coconut oil into your breakfast coffe, just count it as your breakfast fat.

We have an olive oil store near us....now I want to go! Mmmmm...evoo on toast! Hello bruschetta!
Liana....weird that Canadian and US differ on that. I ordered large as small chili showed low in calories....but never did fit in my broccoli! Didn't do baked potato b/c it had something like 60 g of carbs! Yikes!
True enough, the baked potato has lots of carbs so it would depend on your planned day. I looked at the small chilis again and the Canadian one has 1g more fat, 5g more carbs and 2 grams more fibre (from veggies & beans since the sugars are the same), and 2g more protein. Interesting...
Another good choice is to get the side salad, skip the dressing (or take the packet home - even better), add the small chili. Dump 1/2 the chili on your salad, top with greek yogourt and you have a 'taco salad' with lowish carbs and enough protein. You could even bring in a few tortilla chips with you, heheheh. The full size Asian Cashew Chicken Salad is quite good for a big salad carbish meal. 34g protein.

I actually went over on sugars today for the first time ever... but carbs in general were fairly low. I loved all the fruit today, I've been missing that lately.
Okay, ratios were a bit off today, more like 2:1, but at least I didn't totally blow it, because it sure felt like one of those days. Feeling absolutely rotten today. Tomorrow is the first day I will be at the Alzheimer's support group and I'm not sure how I'm going to handle that.

Liana....I hope you have a good time at the support group. Even if it brings up sad feelings, there is something so healing about sharing our experiences with others walking with us.
Do you have Aldi grocery stores? They have the most delicious gluten free crackers that are 18g net carbs for 13 crackers! I bought them for the low carbs but find I am somewhat gluten sensitive toward the evening anyway.
