Happy Saturday!

Early morning with daughter's soccer game followed by basketball practice. Seems like I tend to get my water in at sporting events with my 32oz turvis cup. Already on glass #3.

UT plays at 3 so between watching college football I hope to make some semblance of my closet. I always considered myself well put together but all my old "go to" outfits are too big and some new ones I've tried to put together have received mixed reviews from the family...too big, too small. All of my jeans have saggy butt.

I am clinging on to old outfits as my cynical "many diets history" self thinks I am crazy to let go of these nice clothes in case I gain the weight back. The other half of my brain says to get rid of them. Neighborhood garage sale is at the beginning of Nov so I need to decide what I am going to do before then.

On the cusp of the two-teens. I keep seeing a glimmer of it on the scale. Fingers crossed for tomorrow!!

Hope everyone is having a great day!

It's Veggie Shreds (I think they're called Go Veggie! now)! If you only use ONE tablespoon of the shreds it comes out just slightly above 0/0/0. Not something to use every day, but that tiny bit of veggie cheese is sometimes exactly what the doctor ordered to curb a bad craving.

ok, so I have a question....I am into my last 10lbs to go, in fact its 8lbs, stalled out this week and didn't loose anything, although my clothes are now hanging off me. At what point do you decide to make the transition to phase 2, is it before you loose all the weight you want to, or when you hit the magic #?

So I'm at a wedding reception & I'm thinking they'll have a meat & veggie, right? Well if veggie I meant cheesy potatoes & by meat I meant pasta based hotdish then my assumptions were right on! Thank goodness for a quest bar I threw in my bag as I was running out the door. My saving grace is that everyone is drinking out of red solo cups so I don't have to hear any of my well-meaning relatives trying to convince me to 'just have one...'

Grr...

SkyeAvery: I went through a wedding last weekend....was hoping to do veggies and protein...the only veggies was a tomatoe salad, so I ate about a cup of that, then had fish, and chicken. Amazingly I had no problem avoiding the cake. Woooohoooo!!!

Just have a question for those on maintenance...I am planning on starting phase 2 in another week on my way to maintenance soon. I'm wondering if you found you had much of a change in water retention when you phased off? I need to have my rings resized because they are close to just falling off right now but I don't want to get them too small and then end up not being able to wear them because they are too tight. Thanks for any input!!

Sweet harmony: I didn't notice any water retention transitioning to maintenance but was never really deep into ketosis as I did the diabetic IP plan.

Stanski: IP phase 1 can be followed until 90% of weight is lost. You will continue to lose some as you phase off

Question regarding fancy BMI scale....the one I have been weighing on the last few months always shows that I am not drinking enough water. I drink at least 6-16 oz glasses a day plus water with meals. More than the 64oz recommended. Any thoughts on how accurate it is? Should I try and up my water intake?

I have been on P2 for 10 days and I an down maybe 2 or 2.5. 5 days in I was down .5.

Just came back from our town fair. Bought all the treats for everyone. Had to carry them and throw them away when they didn't finish. I packed my water, cooked off a steak before I left to bring in a Baggie and a bunch of raw veggies. I can't say it was easy, but it was still totally doable.

Wow, that's a great water intake! Your scale doesn't sound accurate if you are drinking that much fluid. I too have a scale that gives hydration status too, but I only rely on it for weight.

ChipnDip That is an inspiring NSV. Congratulations on reaching your goal !!!!

I don't know what it's from I've been following the same routine
Did you try adding more salt or just drinking some salt water...I know I read on one of these threads in the beginning that the salt will help with the headache.

Great Job! See Plan and I it can happen....

Last night DH and I finally had our date night that has been cancelled the last 2 weeks. First week he was sick and last week he had gotten tickets to the Yankees game for him and DS....so we finally got our date night in. We stopped at a Perkins on the way to the casino...not really the best choice for me, but I managed a spinach salad with chicken and hard boiled egg...hold the cheese and bacon and dressing.... Only problem was I know there was not enough veggies or meat. I actually was hungry on the way home from the casino but it was 1am and I was not going to dig thru the fridge for something to eat... So I went to bed and my RTD vanilla this AM never tasted so good...first time I woke up really hungry....

Going front door shopping today LOL... That is the one thing I have been wanting for a while and finally have talked DH into it. LOL Also need to try on the dresses for the wedding that I bought with some shapewear on in front of DH so I can narrow it down...I actually found 2 more dresses in the closet that I can wear so I now have 4 that are candidates LOL....

ChipnDip - way to go!! Planning is definitely a skill we learn here in P1 that will keep us out of trouble in Maintenance!

Ugh....I forgot how AWFUL the first TOM on P1 is. I was feeling bloaty yesterday and hopped on the scale, was up 1lb from the day before so I knew SOMETHING was going on (usually either inflammation from TOM or from an oncoming illness). I ate beef for dinner just in case it was TOM, for the iron. TOM won that round, had terrible fatigue last night and then woke up to EVIL cramps this morning. Ah well, today will be for curling up on the couch with some hot tea - think I can nail my boys to the floor and get a little peace & quiet? :P

I think IP says to start phasing off when you are within 90% of your goal. It seems like a lot of us went beyond that and then did contine to lose phasing off in 2 and 3 without noticing much of a regain as our body resets. I started P2 at 165 and ended P3 at 157.5. My goal is to stay bellow 160-162.

Check out the maintainers thread to help you get ready.

Sgrealtor1 - sounds like a lovely date night.
Chipndip- your doing great on P2, you are close to enjoy those P3 breakfasts

So many great NSV this weekend.

I'm loving the nice weather, it is nice for running outside.

Feeling a little better today, I'm for sure certain it's allergies bothering me!!
It's a beautiful day so far so I'll think I'll do some yard work before it gets to cold to do anything.
