They are unrestricted. I tried the sea salt and the cheddar. The flavor of the sea salt was pretty good. I didn't like the cheddar ones, but I also don't like regulation chips with sour cream flavor. I didn't try the barbecue for that reason. The texture starts out ok, but if you chew too long it feels like it is turning to paper in your mouth.

I am placing an order with Nashua today (hooray for Payday!!) - I usually go to my local nutrition store but they stopped carrying the Health Smart protein cookies :(

I was thinking of adding the Proti Diet blueberry pancakes (which I loved last time around) - has anyone made muffins out of them? I was thinking those might be a good grab-and-go breakfast for busier mornings.

I make the oatmeal into muffins all the time but never considered the pancake mix. I bought the HealthSmart Chocolate Chip Pancakes almost a year ago and haven't used a single packet since I don't like to do restricteds for breakfast. Afternoon muffins would be so nice. I'm going to have to steal your idea.

You can buy individual sample packs of flavors from Nashua Nutrition. They are about $2 a piece but a great way to try flavors before you invest in a jug.

It was tricky for me to find at first so Here is the link (when you click the drop down menu button, it brings up ALL of the brands and flavors that they have individual samples of in alphabetical order, scroll all the way down, Syntrax is last):

I got mine in the mail toay! I liked the cheddar sour cream. The texture is a little complicated to explain...they're kind of like an aerated, puffed pringle...decent amount in the bag. Lighter than the IP unrestricted crisps. I ordered the bbq as well but haven't tried them yet.

Does anyone know if there is something comparable with alternative products to the Chicken Patty Mix or the Chicken a la King???? I have been looking everywhere, but cant seem to find anything that "fits"...

New here and starting Phase I tomorrow with alternative products. Thanks to all posters for their ideas and suggestions. I'll be keeping in touch and posting my progress.

Hey ladies (and gentlemen), what is the unrestricted oatmeal from Nashua Nutrition? I'm getting a little tired of the repetitiveness and want to try some new recipes for the oatmeal muffins but don't want them to be restricted.

I'm pretty sure it's the proti-diet one but want to make sure. :)

The Proti-Diet oatmeals area all unrestricted! :)

Thanks scorbett!!! I just wanted to make sure before I placed an order!

I get this large jug of Proti Diet oatmeal because I use it for muffins, pancakes etc. Easier and less costly that way!

good morning all

well I'm going to give it another go!! I was on IP from February to May this year and managed to lose about 30 lbs. since May I've been really out of whack - I've gained about 15 lbs back and feel like crap. So tomorrow I'm back on program - I felt so good while following protocol but can't afford the Ideal products so will be going with the alternative - looking forward to these boards for help and support and maybe I can be helpful too

thanks for being here

maureen

But usually I have the ProtoThink Broc or Cream of Chicken soup. They're ok.

I sautee mushrooms and red peppers and garlic in a little olive oil. Then I add the mixed soup, stir, add salt and pepper, and voila! It's usually yummy. I add curry powder to the chicken soup, too.

Great ideas to enhance my soups! Thanks!

I've tried the cheddar and BBQ. Thought the BBQ were very good, tastes like a regular BBQ chip flavor to me (on the sweet side) The cheddar were just ok, haven't tried then sea salt flavor yet. I agree the texture is strange after you chew them, paper is a pretty good description. Good salty snack and nice change of pace, but not something I'm worried about getting hooked on.
