I am also struggling. I do very well for a couple of days and then have something the 3rd day, like today it was grapes. My WI is Friday morning. My fat will not be down even if my weight is.

I did make a stir fry using WF pancake syrup with soy sauce and it was wonderful!

Nope - this journey with IP is my only journey with IP and if I do what I am supposed to do, it will be last me journey to lose weight. I will reach my goal and I'll be focusing on keeping those pounds off.

I am ashamed to say that have done Stillman, Atkins original version 30 yrs ago (gasp), Weight Watchers (more than once), Nutrisystem, Optifast, Scarsdale, HCG homeopathic -- did that 3 times and lost the same 23 lbs 3 times, just last year. Vicious cycle of losing, regaining, gain some new pounds, lose, regain and gain some new.

Gotta break the cycle and be done with it!! IP feels different largely because I have found this community of support. So glad to be here.

I've read a few quotes today about in-laws but I don't want any complaining. Some of you know we just bought a new house and it looks like my inlaws will also be my tenants! Yikes!! I love them but it's always with the knowledge that they will be leaving in a few days... not sure how this "permanent" thing is going to go...

Looks beautiful! I appreciate the amount of work that goes into a quilt and would never have the patience to do more than a pillow sham myself...or maybe even just a coaster!

evemomma, peppertree & IP43 - at least you are maintaining your cool & your sense of humour around the IL issue - congratulations! Maybe one of the NSV's will be a stronger sense of yourselves with no need to engage in the power struggles. I love your comments!

IP43 Good luck with your new planned living arrangements - it may be really good, living so close - perhaps everybody gains a better appreciation of the others' lives. You can do a good job of this

I hope it will go well. There are a lot of positives I keep focusing on -- including a built in baby-sitter BUT my MIL has a way of wording things so that while she says things with a smile, there is always a "hidden meaning" that I feel sensitive about. For example, yesterday I made them all lunch and asked "how was the potato salad?" and got "Oh it was good. I just picked around all the dill pickles." Okay...so... is that a compliment or a nice way of saying she hated my salad? See what I mean? Anyway, I will just learn to "grin and bear it" or "ignore it" and hopefully all will be well. Maybe I'll start "walking" when I feel stressed -- that should have me in marathon shape in no time!

I am enjoying having time to pack and sort stuff. How do we get so many useless things? I almost think I should take stuff I have in boxes that I have been able to put away as I don't need it, and get rid of it! If I don't need it NOW why keep it?

One good thing is that I found my mandolin and the micro nuker to crisp veggies. Zuchinni chips, here I come!
