Getting ready for a crazy couple of days. I am taking my special needs son to the Children's Hospital to see some specialists and going to be gone for 2 days. The last time I went through this was last April when I was attempting a reboot and I was completely derailed. This time I am prepared and will hopefully not be staying a week. I have planned and packed my food as well as planned and packed his (he is also on a special diet.) The hospital has an amazing salad bar but I will still be packing veggies in a cooler, just in case. Today was a rough day just because of stress and I struggled not eating everything in sight. I still need to get a handle on that! Ended up with an extra packet this afternoon... sigh...

I think planning ahead is key here. Having an extra packet is a much better choice then going totally off plan. hang in there and good luck with your son.

Thank you. I am feeling so much better about it this morning. I didn't make any mistakes, I was strong and handled it in a way I should. No reason for me to be upset about eating an extra packet. I get so worried about my son's health and I am trying to handle it in other ways besides eating. I will get there.

I hope everyone has a great day and I will check in tonight once we are settled in at the hospital.

So I went to this lovely veggie market by me and came home with a score of beautiful veggies... So to get ready for the week I took out my mandolin slicer and I sliced up my cabbage, celery, bokchoy & scallions along with the tip of my finger... yikes.. just spent an hour in the Medi merge, they got the bleeding to stop and bandaged me up real good after receiving a tetanus shot I am home, finished my slicing and am now gonna take a nap. Moral of the story, always use the veggie holder when using the mandolin, boy are those things sharp!

Easy one: I sautee fresh garlic and some sliced mushrooms and peppers (any color). You can throw in whatever other veggies you'd like. I've put in cauliflower, zucchini, broccoli, but usually I just do mushrooms and red peppers. Then add your Cream of Chicken soup. I use the Proti-thin one from Nashua, although it's very yummy with the IP chicken soup (not noodle one). Mix it with water and add it to the frying pan, over the sautees veggies. Then I add pepper, salt, and curry powder and voila! Quick and easy and fulfills at least a little of my Indian Food cravings.

Congrats on Day 3! Me, too! I've already lost a few water pounds, which feels great. It's always a big motivation for me to move the MFP and 3fcnweight number down!

When I reached my goal a little over 2 years ago (at 80 pounds down) I took a full month to phase off. I was really scared of maintenance, so I took 2 + weeks on P2 and then 2 full weeks on P3. Therefore, I lost more weight during the phase-off. That kept me well below my goal. I began exercising (it was summer by then and swam) and I really feel like I have kept it off. I've had a few month-long stints back on P1 at the beginning and end of the summer, but I'm ok with that. I view these 20 pounds as a little setback, but I am determined to get back below my goal weight and continue to maintain. I realize that I'm human and will try not to keep yo-yoing, but if I need to go back to P1 for a few weeks 2x a year, I'll do it.

When I visited my sister in Florida over Thanksgiving she told me that she always sees me as this "thinner" self now when she thinks of me. She saw a "before" photo of me and had to look twice to see who it was. I know that her acceptance of my new self-image - and my own, of course - are really important in this journey.

I know we can all do this.

been a great day so far! just got back from a 5 mile bike ride. first time on my bike in about 6 months, bu it won't be long til i'll be back up to a 10-15 mile ride!

really enjoyed my chili for lunch after my ride!! i was famished. i had put in some squash chips in the oven while i was gone, but they got too crisp, it was my first time trying to make them on a silicone baking sheet, and they must cook faster than when on parchment paper. C'est la vie...i threw them out to the birds!!

looking forward to my roasted coconut curry cauliflower for supper!

it feels good to feel strong and 100% OP even if it is only day 3 of my reboot. i know i can do this!

happy sunday everyone if you haven't already....prep for the week....get yourself ready and
HAVE A FANTASTIC WEEK!!!!!

Hi, Can anyone tell me if we are allowed to have selter water or sparking water? I seem to remember that when I was on IP two years ago we could not have it. Now I've seen some IP clinics with drink recipies using it. I just want to make sure that I didn't just mess my self up.

I just made a wonderful drink using IP RTD Vanilla. I put the RTD Vanilla in a large glass, added about 6 oz of Poland Water Seltzer Vanilla it is 0/0/0 and then added some cinnamon. It's almost tastes like a vanilla egg cream.

I am on day 4 and have a ton of energy today. I made sure I cooked today for most of the week so I don't come home dragging and then have to start cooking. I found some wonderful recipies on this site and a few of the IP clinic sites. Hoping everyone has a wonderful week this week.

Rainbow I had a head ache and was feeling a bit lethargic on day 2 & 3 but today on day 4 I woke up with tons of energy, feeling great and not even hungry. In another day or two I bet you will be feeling great.

My hurdle now is to find things to do after dinner time so that I don't sit in front of the TV and think about food or eating. That has always been my downfall. I would watch tv and just eat without even thinking about what I was eating or listening to my body when I wasn't actually hungry. This is such a great group of people and we can do this together.

yeah on day 3 i am still battling the dreaded headache but it hasn't slowed me down any!! i know it is only temporary and will pass so hopefully tomorrow is the day!!

i dont have cable any longer and there isn't much on tv anyway worth watching these days so i am usually busy doing something. do you have a hobby?? maybe you could crochet instead of eat while watching tv??

i always run to a hot bubble bath in the evenings if i feel like food is calling my name! haha with a HUGE thing of water, its amazing how much water i can drink while in a hot steamy bath!

i always found the best support here the last time and these ladies are amazing! so much knowledge and strength its no wonder i do wonders here!
