It's bad enough having to add $$ to the shopping budget for prepackaged/processed foods, but at $30 for any one IP product tends to raise one's blood pressure. Well, anyway. . . . I'm glad I found y'all.
Pebbles1964... I take it we are the same age...

I restarted on July 23. I am doing a mix of alternatives and real food, and old IP packets. My "real food" every morning 2 eggs scrambled, with sautéed veggies mixed in. And I use 2 whole eggs, no throwing away the yolks for me. This time around I am doing eggs EVERY morning, the protein in eggs keeps me going until 12 or 1pm no problem. When I do a bar or shake instead in the a.m. I can barely make it to 10am!! Determined to make this work this time, I am perimenopausal and extra fatigued since I last did IP, and I need this for many reasons besides my weight. Not one potato chip or bite of cake or lick of ice cream is going in my mouth! So glad to be back on these boards, and thank you for starting a July thread!

Hi all, I started July 15th and am down 20 and feeling great.

My coach is not a fan of anything non IP and I don't even want to put things into the journal that aren't so I don't get a lecture. I get they make their money through selling product but sometimes I need a change and the Quest Bars are a lovely break. I occassinally eat 2 meals that are lean protein and veggies as well as I don't love the puddings, shakes and drinks.

spectacular - You lost in one week what I have worked 4 and a half weeks to achieve -- Good going!! Watching that scale move downward is a wonderful feeling - Welcome to the group!

Congratulations on deciding to turn things around and making a commitment to no forbidden foods. I was just fixing some toast and bacon for my husband and wistfully recalling breakfasts of the past (in the morning and for dinner, like tonite). But not a smidge passed these lips. A Non Scale Victory if ever I had one!

Two week weigh in today, also the first day I haven't had any loss whatsoever. TOM is impending, so I imagine that's part of it.

Down 5.6 pounds this week for 16 total.

So far everything is going well. My usually packaged diet skeptic boyfriend is all but convinced he should do it too. He only has about 60 lbs to lose, and with him being a guy, he'd probably lose it in 2 or 3 months. I've been feeding him all sorts of weird and wonderful veggies that he's actually enjoyed. Can't wait to tell his mom haha. This week things slow down for me a bit, after 4 weeks of craziness. I'm happy to not be so busy, but dreading boredom as that's when I tend to be most snacky. Waiting for some news this week that could either be amazing or disappointing, either way it will be the first emotional challenge since I started.

Glad everyone else is doing so well here, seems like we have a pretty kickass July group. Keep it up!

Hey SarahBee, way to go on heading off the emotional munchies before the news comes! I've always been one to emotionally eat: reward myself with food for great news, and commiserate with food if news was not so good. I think it's so great that you recognize it. I'm rooting for you!

Thanks guys!

Oh yeah, I'm very much an emotional eater. I have a rough day and all I want is some crappy comfort food and a bottle of wine. I have something to celebrate, and all I want is a dinner out and a bottle of wine. :P

The news has been postponed for two weeks, so I'm safe for now. :P

Sarah ~ I so hear you on the "snacky when bored" LOL.... I am blessed to have a super busy job and it does not leave a ton of down time anymore, but those days working from home with nothing to do....Oh Boy!

I have found thru this (on IP since end of June) that really most of the munchies have gone away and i find that i have to remind myself to eat every 3or so hours... Good luck.

Hello all! I too, started in July and have lost almost 20lbs! I started on the 13th, and will be getting my first measurements done in this week's WI. Hopefully this week has a larger weight loss so I can finally be below 220! For me, this isn't a diet, but a way to teach myself how to eat better and be happy with my body.
You can bet after this weight drops I'll be toning up!
