Soy?

Can someone tell me which packets contain soy? I think I may be sensitive.

I'm bumping this since I haven't received a response. I thought I read on here somewhere that some packets have soy and others do not.

Are you working with a coach? They are required to give you the ingredient list if you request and probably have a list of the non-soy products.

Also message Lisa. She had to eliminate soy and knows which products are soy-free.

Cross-post your question in the daily chat. The title of this thread may only attract a couple people but many read the daily!

I eliminated gluten and soy protein.

I made a list but I can't find it anymore. Need to b/c I recently made a purchase by mistake. Definitely call your coach and ask them to email you the list. They have one.

Anyway, all of the IP restricteds have one or the other.
I use Quest bars and Simply Chips instead (just google them).

I spent a whole day looking up ingredients and making a list. Wish I could find it! My favorite pudding mix (IP dark chocolate) is on the list. I was able to find enough stuff to keep going but it took a whole attitude shift about food in general.

Don't rule out the artificial sweeteners as a sensitivity, as well. As you read labels, you find a variety of them in some packets

Anyway, good go-tos for me include
Potato purée
Milk chocolate pudding mix & banana & lemon ( not vanilla)
All the ready to drinks
Wild berry yogurt
Orange drink, pink lemonade, piña colada

This isn't a comprehensive safe list, just my favorites. I supplement with syntrax Nectar and several items from Nashua nutrition. I just think the actual IP pudding mixes have a better texture.

Check labels every purchase. IP has a tendency to reformulate.

the ones from Wellness Foods.
I've only ever tried chili and herb. The BBQ is newer and I'm not a big BBQ flavor chip person
Now that I think about it, maybe those are the EXACT ones to buy. The ones I won't like as well ;)

I also was buying the Simply Whey bars (they have soy based ones, as well, which I don't "do")
I kinda stopped buying restricteds when I went off P1 but I'll be headed back onto P1 in Aug so maybe I'll try some of these items I don't like as well as ones that cause me cravings.

I think you sent me your list once. I may have printed it. Someone also posted this one. Covers a lot more than soy and gluten and includes non IP products too. I've never posted a link so hope this works.

Thanks for the link - I lost my bookmark. Glad to have it back!

I have a soy allergy (along with other legumes like peas and peanuts.) From IP, I have used the Lemonade, Orange drink, Chocolate drink mix, Vanilla drink mix, and Raspberry jelly.

Because of my allergies, I have branched out to alternative products. This really gives me more options.

A few that I use:
Quest bars ( I cut them up and eat 3/4 of a bar per serving. This lowers the calories a bit, and brings the protein down to about 15g per serving)
Body Fortress whey powder (1/2 scoop has 85 cal, 1.5g fat, 3.5g carbs, and 15g protein)
Some of the fruit drinks and pudding mixes from Nashua Nurtition (Proti Diet and Healthsmart brands)
Premier Protein ready-to-drink shakes (I buy them at Sam's Club to keep on hand for emergencies.)
