Yesterday was a less than ideal OP day. I didn't cheat but I did not get in even half my water. No time for salad at lunch. Starving after work but had to delay dinner. When I finally ate at 8 I wasn't hungry anymore and could only get in about 4oz of protein and just over half my veggies. Very odd fore to not have an appetite! Thank goodness for IP packets. They saved me!

Relaxing at the cottage now. Nothing to do but plan my meals and drink my water.

Happy weekend everyone!

Sounds lovely at the cottage... I'm grabbing my salad and heading over to join you!...

It looks like a beauty weekend here. I started weeding the gardens last week but it's one of those jobs like washing windows -- once you start you have to do it ALL.... sigh... (which for the record is why I don't do windows! LOL)

Oh well, I'll think of the calories I'm burning with every tug!

An embarrassing but good NSV for me today: Took my son to guitar lessons and instead of waiting in the car for 1/2 hr, I brought the dog and decided to go for a walk during his lesson (good choice-- pat on my own back). When I got out of the car, I was so focused on not losing the dog onto the road, I didn't notice that my pants -- now way too loose-- fell down! I caught them mid-thigh, thank God , but my son had a hoot laughing at my flashin' pink panties to the world!
Good news -- another pair of pants into the TOO BIG bag! wooot wooot!!

(edit note: wouldn't that be cool if that happened a year from now, but the grannie panties were replaced by that sexy thong!.... my teenage son would then need therapy for sure!)

I've decided that it's really time to focus and finish this thing strong. I started IP in February and was 100% OP and with good weekly losses until late April when Easter/birthday came around. I've been less than honest with my measurements and have eaten off plan numerous times (mostly sugary things which tasted good for about 5 seconds and then left me with a raging headache). I have worked too hard these past three months to throw it away before I even reach goal. I just purchased the Beck diet solution book and feel like I really need to reexamine why I want to reward myself and soothe my emotions with food. I really want to lose these last 12+ pounds.

IP43 - what a great NSV and way to catch the pants before the show got too revealing, lol!

Sunflwr816 - I hope you enjoy The Beck Diet Solution book as much as I have. It has really given me some great insights into past behaviors. As silly as some might think it is, I have a pile of "response cards" that I have made. They sit on the kitchen table and I read through them at least once daily, if not more. Good luck as you buckle down to lose those last pounds. You can do it!

I'm enjoying a quiet day at home, soaking up some sun and reading. I'm not quite finished prepping for my sermon tomorrow but I can do that this evening. I just needed a bit of a break today.

I hope everyone is enjoying a safe and happy weekend.

That's a great one!

As for me, the day after school gets out, I sleep through the night for the first time in ??? and drop 1.6lbs for the personal morning WI. Gee, imagine that. One would think I'd been under stress, or something.

Also, I discovered that Walmart carries pants that have a waistband one size larger than what I'd been wearing when I started IP. I'm glad I didn't know that--needing to lie down to fasten my pants was what finally kicked my butt into weight-loss gear! If I'd known I could have just bought another size larger, I would have done that. Now, I refuse to ever be that big again.

I'm going to work for my meat protein this evening! King Crab legs and jumbo shrimp boil... YUM! I'm taking veggie skewers too so I can grill my veggies and get all that I need. I'm also going to whip up some cheesy cauliflower tater tots soon...

You'll be one hot mama!!! That' so funny! I had that happen to me but at least I was at home alone. But I just looked at my pj bottoms puddled around my ankles and all I could do was laugh!

Default For Kellyc14 from yesterday's chat

Rethink the jambalaya for dinner and you can do it too: instead of smoked sausage use lo fat deli ham & a dash of liquid smoke, you can still have shrimp & chicken breast, peppers (put lots in & add a bit of zucchini to get more veg in), onions, tomato, hot sauce, all the spices.
Cook it up & pour it over broccoli slaw which has been quickly stir fried or 'cauliflower rice.'

I did this on P1 and it worked fine - tasty too.
