I'd love to know too if there is a specific IP food that seems to be better for you/ helps weight loss....

You really kind of have to see what works for you. For the most part, just following the P1 sheet is all you have to do. Don't need to count anything or worry about the carbs, calories, etc - all figured out for you. This is true for almost everyone (a few people have medical issues that need to be addressed).

You really can't "game the system" on IP, it's already low calorie, low carb, etc. Follow the P1 sheet and the weight will come off. Try not to get stressed about the scale weight - stress is not good for weight loss!

Just like Ruth Ann said, plus a couple of ideas.
If you find you are hungry all the time don't forget your lettuce, and you may want to choose more savoury 'food' type packets over light sweet drink type packets. They just seem more satisfying and less dessert-like, especially if you are craving stuff.

Just don't over-think it - follow the P1 sheet and let go of all the old rules of weight loss that had you counting everything - no need to do this while you lose.
When ready for maintenance you will get the tools to figure it all out yourself. Don't worry about that part of the program for now, as it's bit of a different kettle of fish. (but still low fat/low carb/high protein fish, lol)
