I will be having a whole weekend of Mother's Day celebrations. I'm ready with my salads and IP items. I'm not going to stray from the plan!

I have been feeling kind of blah lately. Not worried about eating off plan though. So forgetful and unorganized. Feel like I am going to the store almost everyday. It has been a pretty rough week at work and I'm hoping that is all it is. I'm determined to get all the weekend chores done today so I can have Mothers Day off.

Hang in there! I noticed you mentioned this on another thread. Maybe your coach needs to know how you are feeling. Could it be you need to up your food intake?

Happy Mother's Day Weekend!

I was thrilled to see 155 on the scale this AM. But, I'm confused. I didn't weigh myself a lot before this...but I swear I am "lighter" than last summer. However, when I tried on some of my summer clothes they seem a little tight. I guess my body is just changing differently? I would get it if clothes not fitting right from pre-pregnancy or from long-standing weight...but the year thing throws me! Maybe my scale is off.

Oh well....I'm so excited to be down (unofficially anyway) 15 lbs since starting IP three weeks ago! IP is a miracle!!!

I'm getting everything together to start my IP journey for the second time. My large Nashua order should be here on Tuesday and I'm getting all my RTD's, veggies, and lean meats/chicken ready to go.

I've been searching online for a new scale and I'm trying to decide if I want one that just shows my weight or an advanced one that breaks it down to body fat % and all those other details. Exciting!

Default Need support

I've been on the ip diet for five weeks and have only lost 10 pounds. I am very discouraged and looking to give up. I drink all my water (128oz) at least a day. I eat a egg packet in the morning with cut up asparagus (2cups). I also have two cups coffee with half a ready made shake. For lunch I have a salad with a can of tuna and walden farm dressing. Later in the day I have a bag of BBQ crisps. For dinner I have 3 oz of chicken mixed in with 2 cups of asparagus and zucchini as a stir fry with brags soy sauce. In the evening I have a decaf coffee with the rest of my shake from the morning. So I'm eating 3 packets a day and getting my 4 cups of vegetables. What am I doing wrong? It's hard to stick to the diet when other people are eating what they want and I feel deprived. Someone please help. My coach doesn't seem to be much help. Thanks

Just keep at it hun, that's still 2lbs per week. Everyone is different. I didn't look at how much you have to lose, or if you even have your weight goals posted but if your smaller and only a little overweight you will lose slower. But even if your not just stick to it! 10lbs is still 10lbs less than where you started. You will get there. I have had good weeks and bad and let me tell you that right now I feel great. Trust that it will happen. Also I don't drink any caffeine so I'm only going off what I've heard is that for every caffeinated beverage you have to drink an additional 8oz of water.

Default Happy Weekend Everyone

On my second week on IP and just heading to the farmers market, hopefully can get some nice local produce.
First week was a tad rough getting used to the diet but the 8lbs lost in that week sure keep me motivated now.
My mom's the one who got me on the plan, she's lost 19 lbs in 5 1/2 weeks. So I bought her the Ideal recipes cookbook for Mother's Day

that's a bummer about your coach. i have other friends on IP and the coach approaches do seem to vary: some are very strict and lots of info, others not as much. are there other coaches in your area? hope you get some support through this thread also.

I have my 5 week weigh in tomorrow morning. My coach has me weighing in tomorrow which is only 5 days because she will be gone all next week. I had a lower weigh in last week at .4 lbs so hoping for a good number tomorrow. We also will be spending the day at the ball field so no temptation of a mother's day lunch!

Default Back from Holidays

Happy weekend everyone! I've returned from the wedding in Bahamas - didn't post until now because work has been cra-cra-crazy!! Actually, that's where I am now, but I'm taking 5 mins to update my ticker and have some 'me' time.

I managed to stay on plan for the entire 9 days in Bahamas including all of the celebrations before and after the wedding. I wore my lovely new red dress (size 8 - whoop whoop) and a friend of the groom told me I looked hot!! Danced the night away and had a fabulous time. No-one noticed that I was drinking club soda as I just added some Mio juice and it looked like vodka and cranberry. The best bit was waking up the next day with a clear head.

I was worried about getting all my vegies in and it was a struggle as we ate out a lot (staying in hotels, travelling, working from the office in Nassau and not having access to a car meant we couldn't visit a supermarket) but over the two weeks between official weigh-ins, I managed to lose 3 lbs. Yippee!!

Starting to think about maintenance and whether my goal of 145 should be adjusted. Only 5 lbs to go and I think that I can go lower - to maybe 140 or 135. I definitely want to have moved to Phase 2 by end of June. Have been stalking the maintainers thread so that I'm as prepared as can be.

All the best everyone for a fabulous OP weekend!

RosiePosieo - you did a FABULOUS job of staying OP despite a very exciting occasion which is so tied to food and drink AND despite traveling and having some challenges in getting your veggies. I wish EVERYONE attending a special occasion would read your post! Soooooo INSPIRING!

AWESOME JOB!

Happy Mothers Day Weekend To all!!!
This is my first weekend on IP, just started yesterday. I plan on staying OP.
Trying to figure out what veggies I like best. But today I feel exhausted and shaky. I feel like my body needs two snacks a day. I don't know if it's my head telling me this or what. Are we allowed 1 snack and 1 restricted or is it just 1 snack period? I will push through this. Last night I just sat and ate lettuce as a snack . I am shocked at how satisfying lettuce really is LOL.
Wishing you all great success this weekend

RosiePoieo
Wow it sounds like you've got it all together. Very smart idea with the club soda.
I'll have to remember that.

Thanks Laurie. I'm not going to claim it was easy but you start to realize after a while that people don't really notice what you are eating or drinking. At the start, I used to think that people were analysing what I was eating and would notice if I didn't eat the potatoes or rice etc. But in reality, they really don't and it's not as if we sit there scrutinizing what others are eating off their plates!
