Question About Diabetic Plan!

I am doing the regular IP program using alternatives, but my father just started the alternative plan for diabetics. The only Phase 1 Diabetic protocol sheet I can find seems very old, as it still says "Follow until you lose 90% of your weight." Can anyone point me to the most recent sheet? He is trying to figure out how much protein he can have at dinner. The only sheet I can find says 5 oz. of fish or chicken and 7 oz. of beef, pork, etc. Has that changed to 8 oz. of any lean protein?
