Question for those on Maintenance

I read in few threads that you cannot completely get off the diet even if you are on maintenance phase. Do you still IP packets in maintenance?

Also I read that you could have Fun days and if you have a major slip up , you should do Phase 1 the next day or two. So for phase 1 during maintenance phase do you use IP packets ? or do alternative plan or just work out more to compensate the food you ate on your funday?
I was just curious on how you handle fundays.

Why don,t you visit the current Maintainers thread and read there and ask questions. There is also a Maintainers What Are a You Eating Thread that will provide a lot if insight as to how they are eating.

Maintenance is as varied as the people doing it. Yes, P1 after your fun day. You can use either IP packets or Alts just like in the other phases.

Some people eat P3 breakfast and P2 lunch/dinner most of the time, but incorporate a few veggies and fruits not on P1 or 2. Eating this way much of the time allows more wiggle room for latitude once in awhile. However, it is truly different for each person which is why IP does not give strict guidelines.

It is always great to be thinking and planning for your end game so you know what to focus on during the journey!

Thanks Laurie. That definitely helps.

I started off maintenance using IP packets on P1 days. Then I stopped using them and just ate very low carb..no p3 breakfasts..until I lost the up pounds. That is what I do now. Everyone has their own interpretation of fun days. I simply indulge in a fun meal now and then.

You are wise to prepare for maintenance now and learn about it. You are building tools that you will use when you reach your goal weight.
