Kawaii: Glad your daughter finally found a dress, that is so exciting.
Hiker: Great job bringing your own food and staying OP. Slip: Hope your tummy is better today. Enjoy the sun, I'm jealous! Steph: Grouting your bathroom, impressive. Think of all the calories you burned! LOL Bet it looks awesome. Good luck to DH on the interview. |
Hi,
Back from the mall and yes, I did see a student. Returned the shorts for 2 of another style and got some money back. Want2b, my sun was short lived. It is now cloudy and spitting rain sporadically. Steph, how did the tile turn out? |
Spent a couple hours cleaning up my tile mess. They look alright but the grout haze isn't polishing off the tiles which is a problem.
It's sunny today. Woohoo! |
I'm invited out again tonight for pulled pork (marinated in brown sugar) sandwiches and coleslaw..... sigh.... I'll be bringing two drumsticks.. zevia, a salad and you guessed it... jello for dessert! LOL! I warned the host that although I really wanted a visit, I had to bring my own food... kind of wanted to stay home tonight but couldn't say no...

I'm BACK....
Just got in from my cruise. We were able to take an earlier flight so we did not have to wait to come back on Monday. Everything was great weather, friends, ports, except the FOOD--I ate like a pig. I dont even want to get on the scale I know for sure I gained weight. I tried to be good but midway it just gets too hard for me. I will get back on IP P1 tom. Need to get on track again. Hope everyone is well. |

Hiker, have fun with your friends. The menu sounds tempting, so you are smart to be prepared. |

Hey all!!!
I think I just might possibly be "over the worst of it"!! I feel so much better today. I weighed myself this morning just out of curiosity before and after I had gone to the bathroom (not trying to be TMI) and I lost *9*lbs. Pain meds really really had my stomach bloated. I even had some energy today. That being said, it was a crummy day. Hubby was outside cleaning up leaves, and picking up brush bits/branches that had fallen over the winter, and I think we might even fire up the mower so that I can get ahead of the grass this season. Spent a bunch of time researching for my hubby's June trip (to San Francisco). That was a good fun adventure in checking times/flights/hotel accommodations. Narrowed the list down a bit but didn't make any choices. Hoping that I get clearance to go back to work/and the gym when I go see the surgeon on Thursday. If anyone is curious, attached the pics of my munchkin in her dress that she decided to go with since I consider you all family and I love showing off the babies. :) Hope everyone has a great OP Monday!!! |
Lucci: Glad you had a wonderful time. I agree with Hiker it is hard to get back to "diet mode" but so worth it. I am glad I didn't give up after my vacation, I know I would have ended up where I started if I did. Not going back there. You can do this, drink lots of water, prepare and take it one meal, one day at a time. And come here for lots of support.
Kawaii: The dress and your daughter are beautiful. I can see why you teared up, our kids grow so fast. Had a nice relaxing weekend. DH is gone for work this week, so it is just me and the girls. Taking my 15 yo daughter to our local fashion show on Wed, it will be nice to be able to go together, some mother/daughter time! And I get to check out clothes I will actually fit into this year!:D |
hiker & want2bskinnyagain - thanks for ur strong support.
It is what I need right now. I really don't want to get back on track but I know I do and what a waste it will be if I don't. I weighed myself and it says I gained 20lbs from the cruise in 1 week. My husband and I don't know how that is possible - I am hoping it is water and sodium weight. I went off plan but not crazy. It just makes me not want to do P1 but know I do. I am glad I am not alone. Thanks to all for your support as always!! |
Lucci - Hope you had a good time on your cruise! There's no possible way you gained 20 lbs in one week. It will probably just take 1 week of 100% to fix what you did on the cruise. It will be tough to get back on track but you've been 100% before and you will do it again! This is how you will live your life now. There will always be vacations and special occasions and now you have the skills to correct those "bad" eating days instead of letting those days turn into weeks/months/years and extra pounds.
Kawaii - So happy to hear you're feeling better. Congrats on the 9 lbs lost - wow! Your daughter looks beautiful in her dress. What are her plans for the Fall? |

We've heard wonderful things about the school, and she's very excited. They offered her almost an entire "full ride" scholarship to attend, so even though she was accepted to 6 other schools, this was her top pick. I'm extremely proud of her! |

Luccilove, you've got this. Everyone is right, you have the tools to make the correction. Take it one meal at a time and try to stay off the scale until WI. You have come so far and this matters for our health most of all. Plus, think of all the cute clothes!!!! Hawaii, you are right- flying makes me retain water like crazy! Want2b- the fashion show sounds like fun! So nice to have girl time :) Kawaii, a daughter that is smart and beautiful. Glad you are feeling better. I am going to the WNL class on Thurs. |
Hiker- Thanks for the restaurant tips! I'm going out to eat with a friend tomorrow and I think I'm going to go for a steak and salad. Need to check the menu tonight to plan. Great job on resisting the food and bringing your own to your friend's house!
Welcome back Lucci! We missed you! I'm sure the weight will come right off with a couple weeks on P1. It probably is a lot of water weight. I'm glad you had a great trip. That's what matters in the long run and jumping back OP. Kawaii- I'm so glad you're starting to feel better! Your daughter looks so pretty in her prom dress! Congrats on the 9 lbs lost too! Want2B- The fashion show sounds like fun and it will be extra exciting in your new size...just 18 more lbs (or less) to goal! I did some online clothes shopping today. I found some cute sale stuff on JCrew and Anthropologie's websites. It's surreal to me to buy medium tops. I'm not buying any more pants until the ones I have get too big. I found a lot of cute shirts, a new bag, shoes, and some accessories/home stuff. Ok...I guess I went a little crazy now that I just typed all that out. I treated myself and can justify better because I just sold a bunch of my larger clothing on eBay. I still have a lot to list and sell. I have spent so much money on clothes gaining and losing over 60 lbs in about a 4-5 year period. Good motivation to keep losing and maintain! |
