Westwillow - the nice part of maintenance is that if you have an over on everything kind of day you know how to fix it if needed. It takes a little fiddling to find out exactly what is going to work for you, you're doing great so far!

Popping in to say how much I appreciate the trouble you all take to post your menus! I continue to prepare myself for realistic maintenance, and it SO helps to see abstraction of P4 in such a concrete demonstration.

RuthAnn....I LOVE seeing your snacks as you are a girl after my own heart. I intend to keep Quest Bars as a daily snack also....I can't wait to eat a few of them that don't meet P1 guidelines!

My MFP menu plan has a serving at 39 chips (wth?!) so I tried to estimate my 10 chips as a decimal fraction and knew .25 of a serving wasn't going to quite work. I took a chance on .26, lol. Oh well, a few crumbs were also involved,

That's the problem with buying in bulk when you are a small family... you end up eating a certain food til you are almost sick of it . That's why I gave up shopping at Costco a few years ago. That, and the fact that I always came back with stuff I didn't have on my list (and didn't need either).

evemomma - yeah you for heading to maintenance! I love the quest bars as a snack during the work week - so easy and filling.

Liana - I figured it was something like that but could just imagine you portioning out .14 of a chip. Usually at Costco I get veggies and then just split them with my sister (along with other stuff) and she does the same - works out well since we like the same stuff. I like being able to buy meat in bulk for the freezer along with paper products (which I don't keep in the freezer). I'm actually pretty good about sticking to my list, although I did end up with a pair of yoga capris that weren't on the list last time. Funny though - I started digging for the XXL before I realized I don't wear that size any more!

westwillow, I loooooove Mary's organic seed crackers, but if I buy them, I eat the whole box at one sitting - so I don't buy them - too expensive for that, lol.
The pear & bleu cheese vinaigrette sounds really good, may have to look for that at Safeway in the produce dep't where they keep the Renee's dressings.
Kashi has a new gluten free cereal called Indigo *something-or-other* I want to try. It's on sale this week 2/$8.00 so I may take a look. Have you tried the Island Farms 4% cottage cheese? Like eating cheesecake, lol.

Ruth Ann: Dinner was 'Tuna Pesto Pasta.' Add fire roasted peppers and thawed peas to the pot after draining the pasta, toss in the tuna, Chili garlic sauce and Classico pesto. Mix. Tomatoes on the side of the plate. Cottage cheese - forkfuls eaten while cooking, I know, not the best of habits, but at least it's logged, lol. Banana for 'dessert.' Easy & delicious meal when you forget to take out something from the freezer and a favorite of both DH & myself. Very satisfying comfort food. I've also thrown cauliflower or broccoli florets into the pot to cook at the last with the pasta. Good for a camping meal too - one pot & easy to keep supplies if you swap out the peas.
