Default Avoid the Superbowl Nightmare!

It's the biggest TV sporting event of the year - the Super Bowl is happening, friends are cheering and eating, and everything you've worked so hard for goes down in a matter of a few hours. Between the pizza, wings, chips, alcohol, and desserts, people consume 2,000, 4,000 and even 6,000 calories or more in just ONE evening.

Then you wake up Monday morning feeling bloated, sick, and guilty. "Time to get back to it" you say, and then you spend the next 4 weeks trying to undo the damage from the few hours of binging.

Here's your Super Bowl Sunday Solution ... JUST DON'T DO IT!

Fix yourself 2 Chocolate IP Drinks and freeze them, then eat one in the first half and one in the second half like a bowl of Chocolate Ice Cream. They will take a while to eat (being frozen) ... you wont feel deprived, you will get 40g of protein, and only 250 calories or so total. If you get a "crunchy" craving, fix yourself a pile of celery sticks or cucumber slices.

Happiness for me will be NOT SEEING a single "The Superbowl is over, time for a restart" thread on Monday morning!

You can do it people! Stay strong!!

Thanks Avalon! I'm not a Superbowl watcher but your wise words apply universally to all the special occasions.

Isn't it amazing how the solution can be so simple and yet so complicated at the same time?

And spot on Avalon - I too will be happy if we see no "regret posts" after the Super Bowl.

Go Seahawks!

Avalon = thank you for your great advice and inspiration. I did indeed freeze the chocolate drink and one cheesecake pudding. Delicious. Did not go off the program at all, even as a Seahawks fan when we were celebrating!

No regrets on Monday, just a weight loss, so I was extremely proud of myself. I can envisage the long long list of things in which I would have indulged before and it is pretty sickening.

How are you doing - we do not hear from you so much but glad when we do.
