It will definitely diminish. I used to have a MAJOR diet soda addiction...Diet Pepsi and then Pepsi max, to be exact. I would drink a six pack a day! It has been a year since I started to cut back; first, to no more than two cans per day; later, to special occasions. Since starting IP in August 2013, I have had no colas or diet sodas; in fact, I had a few servings of club soda on Thanksgiving and that's it. The craving for bubbles is totally gone for me. Now, I am thrilled with iced tea when I need a break from water. (I am not even a fan of Mio.)
