I hope to be headed that way as well! I started working out regularly not long ago in the hopes of adding some muscle tone. When I am finished with P1 and head into maintenance I don't just want to be slim - I want to be fit too!

There are a lot who ask and wonder about maintaining and how many do... I've been successful for nearly 6 months now...(which is only the tip of the iceberg)...but thought that posting a snap shot selfie may give encouragement to those who wonder if it is worth it, and possible.

There are some of us on the maintainers thread who share a lot about what we are doing and thinking. The important thing to keep in mind is maintenance does not just take off and sustain by itself ..but is very much a worthwhile effort. Reading posts from forum members who are "not there yet" helps me remember the hard work...and not get complacent. Maintaining is never going to be an autopilot function for most of us. So we all help each other...for a long long time. It's really never over.
Thanks so much for your wise and inspiring posts! I am grateful that you and others who have completed the P1 part of the journey still check back in to give the rest of us a boost. Just as our posts may keep you from complacence, yours give us motivation to keep going for the long haul and know that our work will not be finished once we reach maintenance.

Sizes are definitely incredibly fickle things.
When I see people weighing significantly more than me wearing my size (14) and people my weight in much smaller sizes.
Oh well. We all have the bodies we have. There are a lot of things we can change but our overall shape isn't one of them. I tell my mom frequently I blame her for my hips

I need to go grocery shopping tonight-so I didn't bring any veggies to work with me. I ordered a green salad no dressing from the place next door and asked them what was in it -they said just mixed greens-I am now picking croutons off my salad........It also has tomatoes and cucumber-Oh well I know for next time......

I guess we are just blessed to have different body types. I bought back in Dec. 2 pairs of jeans from old navy. one size 16 Divas and 14 divas. The one for now and later mentality I guess. Just for kicks I tried on the 14s Saturday................and they fit (too snug in the legs for my liking for now) but I am trying to wrap my head around how can 14s fit me who is 195lbs size 14 is for someone who is 160 or lighter or so. I am baffled by this whole thing.\

Things have been uber slow for me, the weather just throws me into a loop. Once again the kids have no school today it is bitter cold outside. They have not had a full week of school since the week before winter break!!!

I am in a funk for the past month and it makes me want to eat!!! I hope spring gets here sooner than later!

I have no idea what size I will be in when I reach goal. In the early 90's I was at my lowest adult weight of 150 and I wore a 10. But now I an in the low 190's and I am wearing a 14. Granted in the early 90's I had just graduated college and my body shape was different. Have sizes changed that much?

I think sizes may have changed, but I also think my body is leaner after losing the fat. When I lost weight the last time (not on IP) I got down to 139 lbs....for like a day! lol. I was in a size 10 at that weight. That was several years ago, but I really have noticed a difference in how I lost weight differently this time, all over, and really in my mid section. When I hit 139 this time I was in a loose 8.

Not sure about sizes changing from years ago but I find it so frustrating how sizes vary so much from brand to brand!

A size 14 in certain companies are too big and others I can't even fit a thigh in

Sizes have definitely changed significantly over the years. Here's a link to an interesting article on vanity sizing.

Just finished cutting my lettuce and lunch veggies for the week. I love my Mondays off (due to MLK Holiday last week I have had 3 Mondays off in a row - usually just every other Monday).

Next week is going to feel really long as I will have to work a full week. It will also be the day after the Super Bowl and if Denver wins, it will be a later than normal night.

It was a nice day off. It has snowed all day and now that I have my chores done i can snuggle on the couch with the dogs and drink hot herbal tea until it is time to make dinner.

Default Vitamans and Supplements

Not sure if this is the best place to post this question, but I'm wondering about the IP vitamins and supplements. I'm getting very low and almost out of my initial bottles that I got when I signed up. I know I could get them at my next WI, but I'm wondering what you all use for the Vitamins, Potassium, Cal-Mag, and Omega 3s. I'd prefer to get at a local store, rather than order online...mostly because I'll need them this week. Figured I'd ask for ideas before spending more at my clinic.

Well due to the predicted icy weather tomorrow they apace cancelled school for my daughter. I'm just happy to not have to be on the streets. Fridays e had freezeing rain and the roads were terrible there were several multi car accidents. Ppl don't realize how quickly bridges and overpasses will freeze and get slick. Windy rainy and icy tomorrow, I'll be burrowed up on the couch! Glad I have supplies. Tonight I'm making chili with some venison my FIL gave us.

Were they a lot cheaper? If it's not a huge difference, than I might just get them at IP still. But it'll save me a good amount, it could be worth checking out some other options.

same here! Our parish president just issued a state of emergency and the stores/traffic are crazy!! It's like hurricane prep but with much shorter notice. They called off school for tomorrow and Wednesday. Sadly, I need to make a stop at Rouses for a few things. Wish I didn't. I made a venison chili last week but added a bunch of bell peppers and celery. It was AWESOME. I also made cauli-rice and put my chili on top!
