Don Pablos' salsa contains sugar?

My coach said that DP salsa was allowed OP....but I saw on the web that it contains 2 grams of sugar for a 2 oz serving.

Does anyone have any definitive information on this?

Since I'm on the topic, are there any restaurants that have salsa that fits the IP requirements?

Yup, all of my google searches say they do add sugar to their salsa.

No clue about sugar-free or IP friendly salsas in restaurants, sorry!

Salsa will contain naturally occurring sugar from the tomatoes. You need to check the label for added sugar in the ingredients list.

ETA: If you're eating salsa from a restaurant I would ask exactly what's in it.

Does anyone know of any bottled salsas that are legal? Maybe a fresh pico de gallo would be ok and just count the fresh tomatoes towards my weekly allowance of restricted veggies. Missing salsa. I sprinkled Cholula hot sauce to my eggs tonight and it didn't satisfy the craving.

Another question: can we use packaged tuna in water (used to come in cans, now in pouches)? If so, Is it restricted on how many times per week? I saw something on the P1 sheet about red tuna being restricted, but I don't know what that is.

Thanks

I buy the fresh salsa in the tub in the refrigerated produce section and count it towards my tomato allowance.

I use canned tuna more than once per week, I believe the tuna steaks are limited to once per week.

Thanks. That is exactly the salsa I was thinking about. :). I thought a good thing to try would be a tuna salad using the WF mayo I have in my cupboard that I haven't used yet.
