Default Have a great day!

Just dropping in for a quick second to say that I hope everyone has a great OP day! I'll be reading throughout the day and hopefully if it's quiet with my morning client, I'll be able to get some time to respond.

Slip,

EVERY school in the surrounding areas had a 90 minute delay EXCEPT New London Public Schools. My daughter's high school (Williams) had a 90 minute delay... sooooooo I still had to get up and leave at 6:45 in order to make it to town for the little man on time... grrrrrrrrr.

I am down .4 this morning, certainly not what I wanted, but it is a loss so I will take it. I also realized yesterday that I am not getting in as much water as I have in the past, and also being a little lax in my veggie measuring. So I am upping my water this week and making sure I measure everything.

Why the 90 minute school delay? Snow? We don't have that in Canada, we are all or nothing here!! LOL.

Hi everyone,

Want2be- we have a 90 minute delay, if they need more time to get the roads and parking lots cleared. Usually if the snow falls during the early morning or at arrival time.

Kawaii, Sorry that you did not get to enjoy the delay. NL is difficult about Snow stuff.

Luccilove, you are going to be styling in all of your new clothes.

So, my new scale arrived today. Need to figure it out. Also, something absconded with my entire window bird feeder. The whole thing is gone!

want2bskinnyagain-corrects on the loss - it is STILL a loss!

So I am getting really bored on the program so I am going to start to make some unrestricted packet recipes.

So....anyone have favorite unrestricted packet recipes?

I made some tuna last night with the walden farms mayo, pickles, some seasoning and used romaine lettuce as sort of a tuna wrap. It was pretty good!

Slip, I haven't seen the waffle recipe. Where can I find that at?

I made these the other night - first time I had Rutabaga. Almost like a yam or sweet potatoe taste. Season how ever u want. I had them already cut in cubes so they looked like potatoes

Rutabaga Fries - (Phase 1-4)

1 large Rutabaga, peeled and cut into wedges or french fry sticks

1-2 tbsp olive oil

2 tsp dried onion flakes

1 tsp dried garlic flakes

sea salt and cracked pepper to taste

Directions

Preheat oven to 400° F

Placed peeled and sliced rutabaga in a large bowl and add the remainingingredients toss together until the fries are thoroughly coated with seasoning.

Spread fries on a non stick baking sheet

Place in oven for approx 25 minutes, turn fries on baking sheet after about 12 minutes continue to cook until golden brown.

Remove from the oven and serve immediately

I am going to try this one. this weekend. Found frozen Rhubarb at grocery store. Will do unrestricted packet. Has anyone tried this? Got this from the IP videos that they email to us everyday

Rhubarb Compote Recipe

Ingredients:

2 cups Rhubarb (fresh or frozen), chopped
1 tsp Cinnamon
1/4 tsp Vanilla
1-2 Packets of Truvia OR several drops liquid Stevia
1 Tbsp Walden Farms fruit spread (Strawberry or Raspberry) - Optional
1/8 tsp Ideal Salt
1 Ideal Protein Crispy Cereal (Unrestricted) OR Ideal Protein Maple Oatmeal packet (Restricted)
1-2 oz of water
Imitation butter spray (Make sure it has 0g fat, 0 calories and 0g trans fat.)

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Prepare a small oven safe dish (2 cup capacity) with cooking spray. Heat small pan over medium heat. Add rhubarb and cook until tender stirring frequently. Add cinnamon, vanilla, salt, Truvia/Stevia drops, and WF Jam (if using). Continue cooking until Jam is melted and all ingredients are well incorporated.

Spoon Rhubarb compote into small oven safe dish. **For "Un-restricted" topping: Mix 1 packet of crispy cereal with 1/4 tsp cinnamon. Mix 1/2 into the rhubarb and sprinkle the other 1/2 evenly over top and spritz with imitation butter spray.

**For "Restricted" topping: Mix 1 pack of Ideal Protein Maple Oatmeal with 1-2 oz of water, ½ tsp Cinnamon, Truvia/Stevia drops and stir with a fork to barely wet. Crumble the oatmeal mixture over the Rhubarb compote and spritz with imitation butter spray.
