I went to lunch with a bunch of friends at our favorite local pizza place and I had salad and water the whole time people were chowing down on my favorite pizza and subs all around me. Good results keep pushing me to stay on track. Only 8 lbs away from my first big goal of getting back down into the 200's!

In a NSV, I completed my last major assignment and the final for my MBA class that has been stressing me out. Only a few odds and ends things to finish up and I'm done with it. I have all next week off work. Life is getting better and better everyday and I couldn't be happier. I don't think I've ever had a New Year begin when I felt this much motivation and excitement about my future. If I can lose 52 lbs in 3 months, I cant wait to see what I can do with 6 months or a year. Happy Holidays everyone!

Congratulations on your weigh in and almost being finished with your MBA. I sure it's a stressful time and staying OP during that is a huge accomplishment. I feel the same way about being more motivated then ever and actually feeling optimistic about my future.

I just turned 32 in October right before starting IP and physically felt like 100...back/neck pain, always tired, and couldn't imagine what I'd feel like at 40 or older if I didn't do something. I'm do glad IP found me because I happened to go for a physical at a doctor's office where they had IP and the doctor recommended I do the program because of my weight, blood work being off, and both parents with diabetes. Nine weeks later I've lost 25 lbs and I'm feeling so much better physically and mentally. I'm glad all of us are fortunate enough to be able to do this program and wish you continued success and motivation. Enjoy your holidays!

Slip free, thanks for posting that recipe! Sounds great...I've made your zucchini curry soup a couple of times and love it. Thanks for the well wishes. I've got to start packing this weekend...first need to do lots of laundry. Then I will need to narrow down my clothing choices to fit in my carry on...tough work with winter clothes. Hope your Christmas caroling was fun! Going to get acupuncture today for some balance and relaxation. Hope you and everyone else have a great day!

Hi everyone,

Another holiday event completed on program. So amazed at how much I have enjoyed them without the food and more importantly, the vino. I am getting used to the comments. Lots of compliments, so proud of you comments, and didn't recognize you when you came in. Followed by-wait for it>how are you losing weight? Is it safe, not some starvation diet? How much weight have you lost? What can you eat? Don't lose too much more. The diet plan conversation is getting a bit repetitive. I feel like I should carry a tape recorder and push play. It amuses me, after a dozen parties I can predict even the order of the ??? In my head. :D

I was better at accepting the compliments this time, maybe because a lot of the people are family members. Must have been called skinny or slim ten times by various people. A family member's Mother in law kept calling me, Thin Mint. Lol, that was a new one!

Only three more holiday events,Yay! So much food planning involved, I am looking forward to hibernating in January.

Jig and Kookysuki, I too, am much more hopeful about the future. I realized when we were outside caroling that I am a lot happier. I have more energy and a skip in my step. I am grateful for setting down the burden of being overweight. I feel as though it is the final piece of becoming a person that I really like.

For my 50 pound reward,(had lost 15 pads before IP) I have decided to by new living room chairs. I enlisted my brother to help me pick them up and when I told them that they were my reward, he said yes. (He hates stores). Going to get them before New Year's Eve.

The soup recipe that I posted earlier was delicious! Best one yet.

Thanks for listening. Hope that all of you are enjoying your holidays!

Lol, I just decided my 50 lb reward is a new couch set!

Hiker88,

That is so funny! I do not really need new chairs because mine are in good shape. But... They have a low back and are large. I have wanted new ones for a couple of years but would not splurge. Now, I have decided for myself that 50 pounds is great and deserves something big! I am going to donate my current ones to habitat for humanities. Sent them an email tonight.

How about you?

Great idea to donate your furniture.... a very kind gesture.

I don't really "need" a new couch set either but I move into my new duplex on Jan 10th and since its a new build I've had this overwhelming desire to get a new set... not to mention I stored my current set at my office and now I don't want to take the love seat out... it suits it perfectly! My mom gave me my current set so my sister can have the couch for her basement and we'll all be happy... I might just squeeze in a manicure as a secondary reward! lol

YAY!!!! Congratulations!

Enjoy your new chairs! 24 more lbs until you hit goal...it will be there before you know it!

Are you doing any kind of exercise routine? Your results are amazing and I want to copy you so that I can lose faster. What are the typical IP products you use?

I am most likely moving to a new city at the end of March, so I want to lose as much as I can before then. I'm not really too keen on starting with a new coach and paying another initiation fee. Honestly I wish I could wait until I hit goal to move, but my boss needs me in that other office.

I have lost 51lbs in 2 months and 3 weeks and that is great! But my coach is just not doing her part like I would like her to. At the beginning of the program I was doing fine but than I wanted to change it up a bit and try another type of packet for lunch. She told me, yea that's fine and kept selling it to me for a month now. I have been noticing that I am not peeing as much as I use to and my coach was never available for me to talk to her, and when I came for a weigh in, she was not there. I would go to Publix and find out, so I felt like I'm gonna have to figure it all by myself. Last week I finally seen her and I was telling her that I might be off ketosis and she looked at my chart and said well you are allowed 2 resticted packets and I'm taking 3. I'm like wow really? I could've probably lost more. Now I'm back on track again. Just wanted to vent with you guys.

Sweetness, I have 1 restricted item and two regular every day. My clinic recommends not limiting restricteds until you are closer to your goal. 51 pounds in 11 weeks is awesome!

FYI - I believe 1 restricted item per day (with 2-3 unrestricted depending on your weight) That's what I have been told.
Good Luck! Merry Christmas, love seeing your success!:^:

Sweetness - it's 2 unrestricted and one restricted per day according to the Phase 1 sheet (look at the first post of the daily chat and there is a link to the sheet there).

You're doing great so far with you losses! But probably be better once you're following the plan.

I really dislike coaches who don't really coach!

Tell me about it. Thank you for the clarity, I will have to start next week.
