Well, bummer. I thought we were on the verge of a great new discovery! And just for clarification, bacon bits aren't on the sheet so are probably a no go if you are trying to follow IP exactly. (I know you knew this, just wanted the clarification for anyone who might be confused.)

P1:

B: Milk chocolate pudding & coffee
S: Garlic & herb chips
L: 2 cups cauliflower
D: 8 oz pork w/spinach & mushrooms
S: Vanilla pudding w/strong brewed Chai tea (yummy!)

My day got all weirded up so the menu changed!

I added 2oz of cold water and mixed thoroughly with a fork. It is very thick. I spread it on a piece of foil and put in the freezer for 30 minutes. I have done this with other pudding/shake mixes and added additional flavorings, like a splash of Torani peanut butter syrup in chocolate pudding, pumpkin pie spice in vanilla. I have also added a pinch of real cocoa to the coco mint creme to make it less sweet.

IP Phase 1

B: Wildberry Yogurt Muffins (my fav)
L: Broccoli Cheese soup made into a flat bread, cut in 1/2 made a sandwich with cucumbers, veggie cheese and WF thousand island dressing.
Had remaining 2 cups of cucumbers with WF raspberry vinaigrette to feel like a sweet treat.
S: More Wildberry Muffins
D: 7 oz Tuna Steak seared with soy sauce
1 1/2 cups of mixed cauliflower/broccoli with Veggie mozzarella cheese melted on top.
S: Cucumbers and pickles

yes I know Veggie cheese isn't on IP 1 list but I'm on this for a life change not just for a diet. Cheese is my weakness so I find it keeps me on target. My coach says a few of her clients use it and are just as successful as I have been so it's a choice I used it even when off program love it.

How do you make the broccoli cheese soup into a flatbread? That sounds yummy

So do you just buy chai tea bags? Then make the pudding with more water and then mix with the tea and heat up? Sounds good, might want to try it.

Yes, I use chai tea bag, about 12 oz of water and steep until it is pretty strong. I put in the frig and let cool (usually do the night before so can make quickly before work). I add the cold tea and ice to blender, blend well, then add pudding and blend again. It is a huge and satisfying drink.

Thanks. I bought some chai tea bags and I am going to try the morning. I miss having chai tea lattes from Starbucks and hope this might partially fill that void

The protidiet chicken soup grows on you. I mix 4oz of water with 4oz fat free broth with the packet.

I made the IP omelette French toast this morning. Topped with walden farm syrup and it was delicious!

B: Protidiet pancake and wf syrup
L: greenbeans w/ bacon bits and a bar
D: steak and mushrooms

I didn't have a very good day. I tried to stay on for the most part but also let myself cave in to temptation. I had a few things I shouldn't have that I won't mention because I don't want to trigger any cravings for anyone. I lost 9 pounds this first week and am so incredibly happy with that. I think I've just been unsatisfied with the food and craving some flavor. Still though, I know that I've now screwed myself for the next several days. Hopefully I can get right back on track and still have a loss next week.

Zoerba: If you can just stick with the food for a little while you'll find your tastes will change. Most of us are so used to eating carb-laden food that is full of salt, sugars, etc., etc. that it really takes a while for our palates to adapt. But they do. Some things I hated when I started I now enjoy. And experiment with some spices and different ways of cooking things, it can make all the difference in the world. Check out the recipe threads, lots of really good, delicious meals there.

Especially when you first start out, some days you just have to white knuckle it and push through. Drink decaf herbal tea when you're tempted to eat off-plan. Drink more water, eat more lettuce. Do it one day, one minute at a time if you have to. The rewards for staying OP are huge.

When cravings hit, come here and read success stories - it will help remind you of why you are doing this to begin with.
