Good luck, the first week is the hardest! Once you move past that you should be fine.

You will do awesome, thus is a great supportive site. Many people here are knowledgable and can answer questions you might have. Just remember first week is the hardest.

Thanks all. This is really going to be difficult. I don't really cook ~ I live alone ~ which is what got me into trouble to start with. My coach said that IP is coming out with some meals so that I can eventually do all my meals with their food. She expected the new stuff to be in today so maybe next week I will be 100% IP except for the veggies. Of course that will make my costs go up so I'll see how it goes this week. I have read a lot on this site and appreciate all the advice I've seen so far. I'm looking forward to this next week being over

Calypso- me and my husband usually cook and prep one day since we both work. We will grill our meats, chicken, porkchops and then make salads in pint jars so we have them for the week. This saves a lot of time and we always have something OP. he isn't on the diet but he supports me and eats what I eat so it helps.

Good luck to both of you. You don't have to do a lot of cooking . Just be creative with your meat so that you don't get board. Veggies are easy.

if you dont like to cook, then the 4c. of vegies a day might throw you for a loop. Lots of chopping and steaming.

One easier option is to buy frozen organic vegies, then you just dump out what you are going to eat into a bowl and microwave them. I love frozen organic broccoli and frozen organic rainbow peppers are good too, cauliflower is another good option.

Just an idea!

you'll do fine - I only just discovered this site. I'm tempted by the alternative products. I've ordered a bunch... lol - my coach won't be happy i guess... but will keep on plan - that will help me in Phase 2/3/4 for sure.

I found the first 2 days easy - day 3 headaches a bit - then as ketosis kicked in on day 4 no issues and no appetite moving forward. Really it's the habit of eating that I miss more than the food. So - keep yourself busy and drink a ton of water. I keep MIO in business. Also i steam a lot of veggies or cook them in the Microwave and add them to the soups - makes it way more interesting. Chopping up cauliflower and adding IP chicken soup mix to it and making a "mashed potato" equivalent - purely awesome.

Good luck but you'll do fine - it's the best diet I've ever been on.... haven't we all been on a ton of them???
