Hi all - been crazy busy, had a great weigh-in on Sat am. Yesterday, I ate 2 restricteds!! I can't believe I did that, haven't been off plan the entire 7 weeks. In my defense, I worked out with my trainer yesterday and went for a 1 hour hike in the woods with the dogs and I was shaky. I had my brkfst shake, post workout bar, lunch shake, then only had a bar with me on the walk so I ate it! Had all my veggies and a regular dinner but I feel like I seriously blew it. I'm staying away from the scales for a couple of days. Other than that, I'm very happy with my progress, down 23 bs in 7 weeks!

Oh it doesn't even phase me anymore. Here is the south we have a saying for stupid ppl. "Bless your pea pickin heart!" Which was my granny's way of saying F*** off and die. LOL :dizzy:

I chalk it up to jealousy, or self consciousness on their part.

I leave Wednesday for New Orleans, and I'm a little nervous about being able to stay on plan 100% the whole time. I've been planning out all of my meals and packing up small travel size bottles of all my favorite no-refrigeration-required sauces/dressings/flavorings. My biggest worry is getting in the veggies.....I'm hoping there is spinach every day on the ship's salad bar so I can sneak it into my morning chocolate drink. I'm actually taking my immersion blender with me....does that make me IP-obsessed/insane? lol

What fun! We ate a lot of veggies on our cruise a couple of years ago. Stay strong & have fun!!

LOL Sarahbell, it should be nice; but Granny had a way about her. She could say something in just the sweetest way your teeth would hurt but her true meaning was sarcastic as heck. Being a lady and all you have to be nice no matter what! LOL yea that lady had a backbone of steel.

Slipfree 11-04-2013 07:14 PM

Sarahbell- How about boxes of good tissues for your Gram?

Nolasmurf- Had a boyfriend say the same thing to me once, he was not around for long!

Congrats to all -for the losses and goals reached!!!

So here is my proclamation today- I am 100% OP this week. I will eat all three IP packets, I will eat all of my veggies, no occasional veggies, and keep my fats down!! Feels good to say it! I hope everyone else has a great OP week too.

You go! You can do it, and it works!

Finally made it back to my coach after all the travel craziness. Somehow down 7.5 lbs, which is about 3lbs a week since last weigh in. So all is well with the world!

Congrats! Those are great losses, especially when you are in a new element.

Having a pretty kick *** day today! Started off by returning a top I bought from Banana Republic a few weeks ago for a smaller size - and it was on sale so I got $10 back! Found a beautiful festive wreath for my door from Costco and managed to walk out of there without being tempted by the food samples and hot dogs on the way out. Then I headed to my friend's sister's place to buy some of her expired IP stuff. She gave me a ton of stuff for only $15. Woohoo!

Awesome! Happy Monday to you!

My casino has over 2400 employees, so I really don't expect anyone other than my immediate coworkers to notice my weight loss. One did tell me that I'll never keep the weight off. My reply was "oh you're so kind to notice, but this is a lifestyle change, not just a flash in the pan!)

Wow, some people.

Congrats on meeting your pre-cruise goal! Enjoy your trip! And no, you're not insane, just conscientious. Keep it up on your trip. You will be so glad you did!

This literally made me laugh out loud! Glad everyone is out or they would think I was nuts!

Today was an ok day on my end. 100% OP and even did a quick workout (half hour). I think this cold is getting worse, yuck. Hoping for a turn around soon. I have added zinc to my daily regimen and am still enjoying chicken soup. Ugh I hate being sick! Today I also broke down and turned on the heat in the house. Not sure if it is this cold or just the weather, but I cannot get warm. Could be the program, too. (Not as much insulation LOL)

Have a super evening, everyone! My bed is calling me soon...

Renee

struggling a little

Hi everyone-

I haven't posted in awhile, but I've been around- "lurking" I guess. :) Welcome to all the newbies!

I have been doing really well so far and am now in the normal range for body fat! yay!I am going to be phasing off soon, but I want to lose about ten more pounds first.

But, I managed to get sick last week and I had a really hard time getting all my food in. I felt really, really horrible. There were a few days where I was unintentionally boot camping.

Anyway, I've since recovered and am trying to get back into the swing of things, but I feel like I am starving even right after eating and am really, really struggling with carb cravings. I feel like I am back in week 1! Anybody have this happen? I had not had any trouble with cravings all this time. It's a little off-putting. :(

70 pounds is amazing, and you look GREAT! :)

Sounds delish. I've got to try making this "pizza" with cauliflower. Does it TASTE like cauliflower? I hate the stuff, so I'm looking for any way to hide that flavor!!

Good grief. Some people should have been born mute. Good reply on your part, though! I'm short, too, so I'll check my stash of pants and see what I have.

Ok the cauliflower did NOT taste like it. 3 cloves of fresh grated garlic, lots of salt, Italian seasoning and basil. It tasted good. I am going to try to make "crackers" out of it next time make it thin and bake it low and slow LOL

Hello everyone. It's been a while since I've been here to check in. Hope everyone is doing well.

I weighed in today. I am down 7 lb for the week and a total of 55 lb since Sept 3.

October was super busy for our family. I did manage to sneak the Saturday before last for a half day of hunting. I got an ok size deer. Going to make deer jerky out of it.

Yesterday was the day I have been planning for two months. My mothers 75th birthday party. It went great. We had close to 50 guests. She enjoyed her self thoroughly and got to see some "old" friends.

Today I started jury duty. First time I've ever been called to serve. I got called out of the jury lounge to the courtroom. I got called into the jury box. I made it through all the general questioning. But I got struck when the parties were making their decisions. Oh well, on to the next one. Have a good evening everyone!

Congrats on the 7lb loss today and the deer! Went out with my dad and brother over Thanksgiving but got skunked. Would've had a moose if we had the tag though!
