Slip free,
Thanks for the encouragement. You're so right! I need to keep the big picture in mind. I'm just so impatient sometimes. Melissa kate, Does your clinic let you swap things you don't like? Luckily mine does and I think I sent per half my stuff back after the first week! |
kawaii1002,
That's fantastic. I can't imagine losing 25lbs in two weeks. |

Wow, I lost 4 pounds my first week. That is awesome. I hope to lose 25 pounds in two months!

Grrrr. A little disappointed today. Scale hasn't gone down in three days. I was up yesterday and this morning back at the weight I was two days ago. I'm hoping I've lost inches.
|
So do you all think it's the scale that matters most (to YOU), or your measurements and fat percentage?
How many areas of the body does your coach measure? How often? |

This is only day two for me. Woke up very hungry. |

Jemma,
The hungry thing gets easier. I'm in day 16 and the last 2 days I haven't been at all hungry. Before thy it was a bit of a roller coaster and a couple of days I was hugely hungry. One night I couldn't sleep because I was so hungry! But it does get a lot better. Hang in three. |

My doctor measured my neck, bust, waist, hips, thighs and calf. So far only once, but this is only day 8 so I don't know how often he will measure. |

I get measured weekly. Weight (a scale breaks it down into fat%, lean mass %, hydration, but I'm not sure I really buy any of that except the actual weight part), then inches across my arm, bust, waist, hips, butt, thigh. Inches totally matter to me more than weight! Seeing the number on the scale go down is of course nice to me, but visibly losing inches off my body is so much more satisfying since I know at least the fat is being removed/replaced with muscle! We can all do this! For those just recently starting, good luck! The hunger does honestly disappear once your body adjusts. |

Just back from the gym. I worked with my trainer this morning, so I worked HARD! Now I'm tempted to step on the scale just to see if there was a change from yesterday. The only problem....it's 10:20 am and I've eaten breakfast, drank tons of water and worked out. I'm afraid if I get on the scale, there will be an increase, but at the same time, I feel like I should have a decrease! I think I need to save myself from myself!!!!

I just wanted to chime in on everyone's concerns about the scale. I just want to caution everyone about hyperfocusing on the numbers. Yes, weight loss is GREAT! I'm not trying to discount that, but getting healthy is more than just the scale moving downwards. It's also about making the mind healthy so we can handle the rest of our lives on Phase 4, so we can STAY healthy.
For me, I don't even have a scale. I told my coach that and she said she wanted to hug me. We as people are worth so much more than that number, but darn it does feel good when it's moving. As with everything on the boards, use or ignore the advice.. just wanted to get it off my chest..;):hug: for everyone today! |
