Sounds like fun, Liana!

Enjoy - but stay on the road, OK?

It's into the big city for me for part of the weekend, to spend some time with my son. Maybe catch part of an international fireworks competition. Taking food with me!

Hi IP Warriors.

New member to the Canada Thread! I've enjoyed reading back the last few pages...congratulations to everyone on their successes.

It's a holiday weekend here in NB - 3 days off will feel so good!!! We are headed to the cottage, and I already have my groceries - haddock, scallops, bell peppers galore...we usually have guests who will undoubtably bring some off-limit snacks, but I will happily have an IP vanilla drink mix or bar...must stay on track.
Weather looks beautiful...can't wait to put on my swimsuit and feel a bit more confident with 12 pounds off.

More good news - the pants I wore to work today were too big...had to run home at lunch to get a belt!

Another new IP Canadian here. I'm doing some consulting work over the long weekend, which is probably for the best. Keeping busy is the best way for me to not crave. The last week ended up being really busy, which has made the transition quite easy.

Well, it was a HOT, HOT, HOT long weekend in Penticton. Crazy dustbowl camping for the music festival, interspersed with laying in the lake and enjoying the beach. I'm too old for this, lol. I'm still not clean - my feet have ingrained dirt even after scrubbing in the shower.
I have a souvenir beachtowel, several scrappy looking wristbands, and I'm sure a few pounds to drop. I had great difficulty getting my water in, didn't manage my vitamins, got 3 hours of sleep a night, and ate a few things off my maintenance plan. So... although I danced A LOT I'm sure it is time to pay the piper tomorrow.

Last music festival without a hotel, hahaha (said the old lady...).

Liana

It's nice to have some new Canadians on board! We are up at our camp for the whole week. First part has been far from a vacation though. We are laying 200 square feet of patio stones. 4 inches of sand fill to shovel then over 100 80 pound stones. Thank goodness I am more than 70 pounds lighter. I had to have an extra pack yesterday after the 7 hours of labour that I am so not used to. There was a moment I would have died for a slice of pizza I ordered for the kids but I made it through convincing myself not to take away from the calories I just burned. I'm so close to goal. Hoping the extra work will burn a couple more pounds off me too.

Low carb grocery store will have them in September. I haven't really looked into beyond that. I would think that most places that carry quest would have them although I have had a hard time seeing a chip rack at gnc even though they are protein.

Family visiting at my house since Wed thru til Tues. Lots of night shift and 'tour guiding', during the day...starting to go squirrelly! Due to lack of sleep (we are on a foamie in the living room - everyone else is older than us, lol) & TOM coming in a couple of days or so, I am sometimes finding it difficult not to be a bit cranky although they are all really great, helpful guests.

Hi All, I am getting back on the IP bandwagon today with alternatives.. It is a bit challenging to find alternatives.. I found a good protein powder at Walmart I like so will go back to having that for breakfast.. I went to Dr Bersteins and was able to buy a few things that are IP comparable, chicken noodle soup, oatmeal so that be for lunch, or tuna . chicken or eggs .. I will have one quest bar a day for snack in the afternoon and 8 ounces of meat for dinner.. Of course will be having two cups of veggies for lunch and dinner too.. Sorry thinking out loud I guess If anyone has anything they have tried and liked please share.. I was coasting during the summer but time to get back at it.. Looking forward to getting to know and support others too..

There are a couple places to order protidiet from that mail it to you. Low carb grocery has EAS shakes too. I've used the pure protein RTD from Walmart and bought pure protein bars at costco, walmart and target.
