try a small amount of sea salt in the palm of your hand. dab your wet finger in it and lick, then take a big drink of water after each lick. that's the quickest way for me to alleviate a migraine now. mine stopped when i started IP but I have had a couple of headaches since then that were doozies and this helped. in about 20 minutes you should notice some relief.

I've been using MFP to track and I feel like I'm having too many carbs per day. Between my smoothie and coffee for breakfast and my lunch I've had 25g total carbs and 62g of Protein. What do ya'll think?

nola
How much is the net carbs (total minus fiber?)
Easier would probably be to let someone look at your MFP diary

Just ordered the Beck Weight Loss Solution & Refuse to Regain books as recommended by my fellow 3FC IP-ers. Super excited for them to get here!

Well, if it doesn't then it wouldn't be worth it.

So you want to try to be under 40 net for the day.
Looks like you're fine.

Thanks @Lisa32989! That's mainly what I was wondering . I though it was a much smaller number and was freaking out. I love to snack on bell pepper and noticed they are pretty carb-y.

Question

I have a question about the cauliflower "bread sticks" recipe. Does that count as 1 serving of veggies (2 cups) or more? I have an idea that I want to do with it but I need to know if they counted as 2 c first
I am thinking maybe LOL

Good afternoon,
It's starting to get chilly again in the mornings, today I started my soup/veggie lunches. I realize that warm water tricks you into thinking you are full but WOW what a difference. Same lunch just soup instead of a drink. For those of you still hungry and just starting out think changing up your food.
On a side note, I’m a little sad at the moment. I work in a VERY small office. People mostly drink coffee and I am not a coffee drinker. I am actually proud that I drink tap water (not a water snob usually); however the water today as such a sulphur smell its making me gag. Arg. Water intake is slowed down due to this. Tonight I will go shopping for some bottled water to have in my office for days like today.

Oh and a question:
What program is most people using to trace their calorie/carb intake? I should start looking at this since it looks like I will be going into phase 2 in the next week or so.

I use My Fitness Pal on my IPhone. You can also access it from a desktop computer as well.

If you use 2 c raw cauliflower, then it would count as 2 c. veggies.
I've never looked at it as 2 c = 1 serving b/c sometimes I break up my veggies. I may have 1 c. of one thing, 1/2 c of 2 others.

I just count 4 c for the day

Speaking of cauliflower; my SIL made the cauliflower tortillas while we were there and I had a taco! We used the taco seasoning recipe I had found and were able to load them up with meat and tomatoes and lettuce. They were so good! I could eat like this forever!!!! I forgot to get the recipe but I think she found it on pinterest under Ideal Protein recipes. I highly recommend this.
