Good morning Augusters! WI 9, just finished 8 weeks, down a total of 26.2 lbs! Unbelieveable! I still struggle with hunger but boy, can't argue that IP works!! My jeans that I've been hanging on to for 10+ years still don't fit around the middle - guess that's a combo of getting older and fast weight loss. thanks to all for your support, it's made such a difference! Happy weekend.

Thanks slownsteady and Schenectady.
I do think this forum provides so much help and support. It's nice to share our successes and the bumps in the road. It's a journey. |

My DH tells me frequently: If it were easy, everyone would do it. To survive through everything life throws at us and STAY on plan, no matter what, takes A LOT of perseverance. Yay you!!!! |

So I started a two days before August 1st, but I horned my way into the August group. (I'm not sure there even was a July group?) I just couldn't be happier! I am a bit over 3 months into the IP diet ... I have had no cheats, I lost 63 pounds, and my waistline has sucked in 10.5 inches. I feel amazing! Just one little tiny plateau in the low 270's, otherwise my losses have been pretty much straight down.
https://mindstar.com/scratch/WL_2013_11_11_big.jpg I am wishing everyone in this thread and on this board continued success and insanely great willpower to stick with it! YOU CAN DO IT! (I am blowing a bit of dieting willpower fairy dust now.) https://mindstar.com/scratch/fairy_dust.jpg |
Hope everyone is enjoying what's left of the weekend!
I had a big closet purge today, which felt great. I had done some closet shopping previously but hadn't yet gotten rid of some of the bigger sizes. I've been wondering why I was holding on to them - I definitely don't plan on going back down that road again! I don't want to keep those things as a crutch in case I do - better for me to have the attitude that I will only keep getting smaller from here. So now I have a bag of sized XLs, 16s, and 18s destined for goodwill, and a closet full of only size 12s (which don't fit yet but will soon!) and 14s. I feel lighter already just having those other things out of there! |

Avalon you are amazing. And inspiring. Good morning all: happy Monday! Thank you for all the congrats on my weigh-in. I am still smiling. Trying to save all that positive energy up for the weigh-ins that annoy me :) happy and grateful for the progress. (And grateful for you all too) Wishing you all IP POWER for a great week! |
ecd, avalon, kelli.......incredible continued losses, great job! :carrot:
Later today I will have my first weigh-in since the beginning of October, at which time I left for vacation for 3 weeks (100% OP during), then returned and had a 1 week "lapse" followed by last week getting back on track. So, we'll see where I "officially" am today after 5 weeks without a weigh-in - I really have no idea as I refuse to get back on the scale at home - which was part of my undoing when I got back from vacation. I think I am at least back to where I was at my last weigh-in, but hoping to be at least a pound or two down from there. I hate that I've virtually lost a whole month of time by 1 week of messing up, but what is past, is past, and I can only go forward from here! Have a great Monday everyone!! I'll update my ticker later today. Wish me luck! :) |
I am there with you, slownsteady, although I am still working to make it back to where I was before I 'detoured'. Five more to go which I hope disappear this week.
Struggling still to get my mind back where I need it but started the day bright and early, up and cleaning, keeping busy. |
Yay!!!! :carrot::carrot::carrot:
Down 5 LBS at my weigh in today!! Some might think that's not so exciting since my last weigh in was 5 weeks ago :), but I am taking it as a MAJOR victory because I had a MAJOR (week long) slip up a couple of weeks ago, got back to 100% last week, and now I'm back on track and LOSING again! AND, I'm just 1.5 lbs from being in the 80's! Looking forward to that. This provided a MUCH needed boost to my confidence, AND determination! |
great news slownsteady ... keep pushing
