lisa's tone if you read it was more at the coaches, and not you, or anyone who asks a question. :( understand she's been here a long time and sees the same questions over and over...and her frustration lies with our bad coaches, not us.

Keep posting...

Question: If I eat my last meal late (around 8:00 pm), and haven't had all of my IP servings yet, can my evening meal include both the veggies, protein (meat, chicken etc) AND an IP serving? I just made the BEST IP Rotini, with turkey Italian sausage "meatballs", and sautéed red bell peppers (sautéed in the oil allowance). Was unbelievably good, but after I ate it, I wondered if that was the wrong thing to do.......

Yup. If it works for you that way. I need to spread my meals out more so I don't get hungry but we're all different

FYI: sausage isn't on the IP meat list...

Thanks Lisa. It is 93% fat free Turkey Sausage, no sugars, my coach approved of it. Should basically be the same as 93% ground turkey, but it has spices in it. It is raw, not processed. But looks like I'm going to have to switch to green bell peppers!

Peppers of all colors are allowed on the most recent protocol
What makes you think green only?

EDIT: I found the thread that made you think that. The veggie list posted was incorrect. All colors of bell peppers are allowed on the most recent protocol. I updated the list

Keep reading...you will see we have found a lot of old info out here from various clinic and IP sites. Most are not on top of reporting changes...I find usually I get updated information when I question THEM because of what I read here!!

** Note in spit of my above comment, a week or so ago I was given a new list of the products and what they contain. I noticed some changes in a few items no longer being Gluten Free from my last nutritional data list...none were products I use, so I was OK with it, but I'd suggest anyone with sensitivities to press their site for the recently updated info. Can't find the sheet right now, but I think it was dated July 2013.

Please find it & scan it for me!
This just means they are using cheaper ingredients. So much for "better quality" huh? LOL
GF/Soy protein-free are both very important for me

Virtually useless trivia:

Years ago, bell peppers, regardless of their color were often called green peppers. I remember recipes in the 70's which called for "green peppers, any color."

Similarly, brown rice isn't always brown. Brown rice is any rice that has not been polished and therefore still retains the outer bran layer, even if the actual color of the rice is purple or black.
