I finally got to try some WF dressing

in Ranch, and I actually really, really like it! It does not taste like the traditional ranch, of course, but I noticed it had vinegar in there, and I just really like the taste. This will make eating salads so much easier for me. I have read so many negative reviews about it, is there anyone else who actually likes the taste?

Art3mis 08-20-2013 10:47 PM

NOT IT!

but glad someone likes it :D i will ship you my jar lolol

nolasmurf 08-20-2013 10:55 PM

I like the ranch too! The French onion dip is good and the BBQ sauces. Hated the Alfredo sauce! Yuck! It was sweet! :(

PurpleMomster 08-20-2013 11:02 PM

I didn't mind them - I got samples of the different kinds in my starter kit - but I prefer olive oil and vinegar, did before I went OP too.

I've heard the onion dip is really good with veggies - might order some to try next.

mom2sparky 08-20-2013 11:06 PM

That onion dip does sound good. There was just a limited variety at my Kroger, so I might have to order some things. I got the ketchup and ranch. I think they had Thousand Island, but I did not see anything else I would like.

trishthayer 08-20-2013 11:08 PM

I use a ton of them and I add spices and such!! I love the Asian one and the thousand island is great on the Big Mac bowl!! The chocolate sauce and the pancake syrup are good also

saskgirl 08-20-2013 11:14 PM

The Asian and Italian ones are my faves - the Italian isnt as sweet as a lot of the others and the Asian one is a bit sweet but in a good way?

There is no combination of spices/vinegar/lemon/etc that I have been able to add to the zesty mayo to make it taste anywhere near edible!

Maxxy 08-20-2013 11:44 PM

1000Island is my favourite. The coleslaw dressing is awful! I am resorting to just making my own. I have some lemon pepper olive oil that makes a great dressing

Skinnyjeangirl 08-20-2013 11:53 PM

I like the Ranch, BBQ , Ketchup and chocolate sauce... yum! these products have been my little friends!

Jbhigdon 08-21-2013 06:09 AM

I liked the ranch. The chipotle ranch is good for dipping shrimp but didn't care for it on salad. Honey Dijon didn't do anything for me.

Gr8by48 08-21-2013 08:39 AM

Great for you for finding one that you like! I have heard so much negative about them that I am too chicken to try any of them! I actually don't mind salad plain, so I am good to go there!

Maybe some day I'll get brave and try one!

Poppycock 08-21-2013 08:49 AM

I like the bacon ranch, thousand island and honey mustard (if I tweak it up a bit first) dressings. I really enjoy the hickory smoked BBQ sauce, but it's very hard to find around here.

megjohnsonnj 08-21-2013 09:11 AM

I like the blue cheese but i add a little hot sauce so it's more like buffalo blue cheese and cuts the sweetness.

tbc85 08-21-2013 10:01 AM

I really like the bacon ranch and italian dressings along with the chocolate syrup and pancake syrup :) the peanut butter and alfredo sauce went straight into the trash as soon as tasted them :( Live and learn

ktgrrl 08-21-2013 10:07 AM

I was wary as well at first, but took the plunge and bought some at my local grocery. I'm a big fan of the ranch and the bacon ranch! Love the bacon ranch! Makes it feel like you've got bacon bits on your salad (a nono, but mmm...). And the thousand island is really good on the big mac in a bowl! I even got DH to try it, and he didn't think it was too bad. I'm glad there are others who like it, and love hearing reviews!!

ktgrrl 08-21-2013 10:08 AM

Oh! And check out Netrition for good deals. About $4/bottle, and they sell the packets as well. And flat rate shipping. $4.95 no matter what.

Do ya'll have a Rouses ? They have been the only place I found the dip

FrostyBobber 08-21-2013 10:59 AM

I love the chipotle ranch... spicy! The honey mustard needs more mustard, but it’s passable.. The raspberry vinaigrette is amazing...

Just tried the pear balsamic (0/0/0)... uhm... it has the taste and consistency of jello... strawberry banana... super sweet and I didn't think it should go on a salad... maybe a topping or jelly.. Not a salad dressing..

I enjoy the pancake syrup and the choc. spread (tastes a little like nutella)..

mom2sparky 08-21-2013 11:50 AM

No, we don't have a Rouses. I got this at Kroger and I have not checked the local Walmart.

mom2sparky 08-21-2013 11:51 AM

ktgrrl, thanks for the tip on netrition, I will check it out!

bimnd113 08-21-2013 11:55 AM

I have tried all of the WF dressings except TI, French and Russian; most of the syrups; and all the dips. I find them all to be too sweet, too chemical, and the wrong texture. I can use the Asian in stir fry, and the apple butter with rhubarb, that's it. The Italians and the vinaigrettes were especially disappointing, why does everyone add sweetener to dressings that originally aren't sweet!

I don't like most of the IP/alternate food, either. But it's edible...unlike WF.

dinkyfrost 08-21-2013 12:03 PM

What do u put the chocolate sauce on? Where do you find it? All I have found at the store are the salad dressings.

This is my second week on IP (lost 5.4 lbs and 8.75 in). So far it is going ok but I am off of work for awhile and I wonder how hungry I will be when I return because I am constantly running around anywhere from 8 to 12 hours a day.

I've found the WF salad dressings in both the produce section, with the refridgerated dressings, and in the dressing isle. For syrups, I found mine in the regular syrup section. I've only got the pancake and strawberry syrup, and only found a limited selection of the dressings.

Good luck finding yours! And again.. Netrition. I know I'm pimping this website, and I swear! I don't get any kickback. :D But found the selection to all be there, the prices fairly compriable to what I'd pay in the store (or a bit cheaper) and fast shipping! I usually get my stuff about two days after they tell me it's shipped, and they usually ship the next business day. So I order on Tuesday, and it's home on Friday.

I've used the choc sauce in coffee in p,ace of sweetener (fake mocha) I've put a little cup full in the freezer for that craving for candy. Today I mixed a bit withthe banana pudding packet and made a smoothie for breakfast.

FrostyBobber 08-21-2013 01:36 PM

OOOOH.... banana smoothie!!! I (hopefully) am picking up banana pudding tomorrow at my WI... that would be a yummy breakfast!

I guess I am the only one who has ever requested the banana pudding.. they had to order it for me :)

thecircleguru 08-21-2013 01:41 PM

I have a few of them: 1000 Island (haven't try that yet!), Caesar and Italian.

I threw some garlic in my Italian dressing because I thought it was a little too sweet. Maybe I should trow in some more vinegar to "tang" it up! LOL!

This!! And I use the Ketchup like a BBQ sauce. Of course I doctor it up!

But my fave is now evoo and lemon w/ Mrs Dash in the yellow top. Original?

tightwad 08-21-2013 02:47 PM

I like the Ranch and the Honey Mustard on salad. I use the Chipolte Mayo and some pickles and mustard for a tarter sauce. I use the pancake syrup for cauliflour pancakes and the strawberry jelly I use on my oopsie bread (don't make it, it has cream cheese..) that I eat every morning for breakfast. I also like the Peanut Butter and Chocolate Peanut Butter on celery.

I have the BBQ and it is ok as is the ketchup. I got the caramel and chocolate suaces but haven't found a use for them yet (I did try a frozen rolo but haven't eaten it).

ccm263 08-21-2013 03:52 PM

I like to use the WF Peanut Butter in my stir frys. Yesterday I mixed the Chipoltle Mayo with Sriracha and Yellow Mustard and dipped Celery in it. It was good but very spicy!!

Calisto 08-21-2013 05:07 PM

I only tried the bacon ranch not the regular and didn't like it.

Ceaser is the only one I have tried I like!

dinkyfrost 08-21-2013 05:18 PM

Thank you! I found some at the grocery store today!

The dressings in the Salad Aisle/Refrigerated section are the 0/0/0 (0 Carb/0sugar/0 fat) and must be refrigerated. In my experience ALL the ones on the shelf with dressing are not 0/0/0, though they are Sugar Free (and labeled that way) but have FAT added. Just check carefully!

I love it!
Maybe because it reminds me of that banana penicillin we had as kids...

I love it. I make banana/zucchini muffins and banana pancakes. I've never had the plain pudding ;)

lilkel244 08-22-2013 11:25 AM

I had the butterscotch pudding yesterday..shudder..it was terrible!

Suchawittygal 08-22-2013 01:05 PM

I love the French, Bacon Ranch, Smooth Bacon, Thousand Island (on Big Mac in a Bowl of course), Chipotle Ranch, and I also really love the ketchup and syrup! Yummmmm!
I'll have to find the onion dip and try that.

Skinnyjeangirl 08-22-2013 07:01 PM

Vitacost.. I order mine from them, cheaper than the store.

mom2sparky 08-22-2013 07:27 PM

I had some of the WF ketchup last night with turnip "fries" and I really enjoyed it. I just peeled the turnip, cut it into strips, tossed it with olive oil, garlic powder, and onion powder, Baked for 20 minutes total at about 400 degrees. Delicious!
