Oh man... yeah, just what I needed. It's so hard sometimes with his justifications.

Would love to hear any of you wonderful people's thoughts on that! Have a great day!
I w/o three times a week, I usually eat extra tuna (in a salad, of course!) or hard-boiled eggs instead of an extra packet; I also have a frozen mango RTD for one of my three packets to bump up the calories for the day. The first 3 weeks I was very tired the day after w/os but now I don't notice a difference. I find I have to be very careful of the timing of my food intake to not get run down during the w/o. I do about 25 min of cardio and 40 minutes of weights.

The only caution I have is this: If you are feeling good during w/o, the temptation is there to keep going. If I do that, I am quite sore the next day, and I doubt that's good for weight loss. So pace yourself!

Edit: Must add, I would love to not exercise, I hate it! But I made the choice three years ago to just do it, and I can't give it up for IP, because then I'll never exercise again! I don't think it has impacted my weight loss too much.

WI week #9 Down 2.2#, no inches. Been a bit stressed lately, so I'm happy with it. Still feeling bloaty, not sure if it's because I eat all my veggies raw (and almost all cruciferous), or I might need to investigate some other source.

Keeping all of the teachers in my thoughts, just met a lot of them while getting groceries and they already seem a bit frantic! As a parent I appreciate you guys more than you could believe...I love our teachers!

We started close to the same weight. It will happen. You CAN and will do it. Just stay on plan!

My scale fluctuates more & more. After I weighed in at 165, my next WI was over 170! I'm OP so I KNOW I didn't gain 6 lbs of fat. It is gradually going back down...about .5 lb every day or two. Frustrating when it happens but happy dances when milestones are reached!
Congrats!

How many packets are you having/day?
According to the info I've been given by a coach, the coach's manual says this
201-240 lbs: 4 packets/day
241-280 lbs: 5 packets/day
281-320 lbs: 6 packets/day
As always, only one of those is restricted.

If you can't afford the extra packets, there are lots of conversations about IP alternatives to use to "fill in the gaps" (EAS Carb control, Nashua Nutrition, GNC, Pure Protein (some varieties), etc)

Hi everyone - had my WI today - I am happy to say I lost 3.2 lbs and 2.5 inches! For it being my week 19, I was very happy as these are "biggish" weekly numbers for me personally. However, my coach remarked that after the scan I went down in lean weight and up just slightly in fat. ???? Does your clinic/center offer the scan? If so, do you put a lot of stock in it's readings? I of course always hope for its accuracy, but I can't help but think there was some sort of hiccup considering my nutritional plan since I've been OP. Thanks for your feedback!

Ktgrrl - go back to the previous page and re-read your post about how you stayed OP last night.
Be PROUD of that.
CELEBRATE that.
That was a huge victory.
So why take it away from yourself by eating "real food" which is only going to make you feel guilty?

Then, if you still need some motivation, read the post called The Real Cost of Cheating. I've posted a link to it below for you.
It's also always in the first post of the Daily Thread.

You can do this!

Decidedly not enough packets. I've been having two non-restricted (EAS shakes) and one restricted (bar) per day. Along with salad, veggies, and lean protien at dinner. I was really thinking at lunchtime, and realized I'm just not eating enough. I shouldn't be hungry all the time. So, I'm planning another purchase form Nashua Nutrition, and am going to push this info at my DH as well. Hoping some extra packets, extra water, and a little more time will really help.

Thanks so much to everyone for the support and kind words!

Thank you thank you! I just got a lil' sniffly. It was huge, and I did stay OP today! I can keep doing this! <big deep breath> This is for me, and my life, no one else.

Love that mantra! You should put it in your signature, a perfect reminder for when people try to sabotage your efforts.

Today is day 2 and I am pumped!

Welcome back, MrsKuby! I have missed you! Congrats on the Mudder and on maintaining so well.

I don't WI until tomorrow, but wanted to come and share a word of encouragement for today. I did some thrift store shopping this morning. I wanted to share how wonderful it felt to shop in the "regular" department. I wanted to share how wonderful it felt to find several items and actually put some back because they didn't "do" anything for me. All I used to expect from my clothes was that they fit; nothing ever "did" anything for me. Now things can actually look good.

For anyone going wobbly today -- STICK WITH IT. There are ups and downs and times when your mettle will be tested. Keep going. Keep your eye on the prize. You will get there. I still have quite a ways to go on my journey, but I already feel and look so much better that it has become easier in many ways.

Does anyone have a good suggestion for a protein powder that I can buy at GNC/WalMart/Target that tastes like the chocolate protein powder drink from IP that doesn't taste chalky???
